Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson are 'Newlyweds' no more.
Wait, everyone knows that - they divorced almost 14 years ago. But, Jessica's new book has everyone talking about their defunct marriage again. Sometimes described as a "tell all," her new memoirOpen Book comes out on Tuesday, February 4th. Its description on Amazon says the book "is as inspiring as it is entertaining," and Jessica's already confirmed that it is not without major mention of what really happened between her and Nick.

Lachey, 46, attended Michael Rubin's Fanatics Super Bowl Party last night, held at the Lowes Miami Beach Hotel. In an interview with Us Weekly, he said he has "not read a single world" of his ex-wife's book.
He then motioned towards his wife, model Vanessa Lachey. "Both of us have not read the book, and no, [Jessica] did not reach out before it was published. He and Simpson, now 39, were married for four years and starred in a reality show called Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.

The pages that Jessica has already released from the book seem to paint Nick in a pretty decent light. Although their marriage obviously failed, she said he was her "first love."
“We meant a lot to each other and we always will,” Simpson said. “I want to be very respectful because I married him for a reason and we were together for seven years for a reason. He has a family now and I would never say anything to disrespect that.”

Jessica has remarried too - she tied the knot with former NFL tight end Eric Johnson in 2014. The couple have three children - daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson, son Ace Knute Johnson, and daughter Birdie Mae Johnson. Nick and Vanessa also have three children: sons Phoenix Robert Lachey and Camden John Lachey, as well as daughter Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey.
In one rather enlightening moment, though, Simpson says in the book that she watched her ex-husband "portray himself as a victim" when he put out a 2006 documentary in conjunction with an album release.

“[Nick] mentioned that the door was still open for us to get back together," Simpson says. "I kept pulling the blanket up over my face to hide because I felt so exposed. It was so disrespectful and [he] dragged me back into his orbit when I was just starting to leave [the relationship]."
In other Simpson-esque news, the singer-turned-beauty-icon posted a photo to Instagram last week that was taken from her backyard. Sounds a bit silly, but it's really not - her Calabasas home is situated right near the crash site of the helicopter that carried Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven other victims. Jessica details the horrific day in her caption, saying that she could feel the 'heavens parting' as a result of the tragic accident.
