How Many Quentin Tarantino Films Have Starred Leonardo DiCaprio?

With the Oscars only a week away, Let's take a look at some of the nominees that are headlining the red carpet, Leonardo DiCaprio and Quentin Tarantino.

DiCaprio has been in many amazing films and now he's become part of Quentin Tarantino's small family of actors that continue to work closely with the director and produce fantastic films, but is this the first time that the two have worked together? Let's take a look back at the relationship and how it all came to be.

DiCaprio has actually only been in two of Tarantino's films. DiCaprio made his day view in the Tarantino-verse back in 2012 with the release of _Django: Unchained. Afterward, fans of both the actor and director hoped that this would spark something up between the two so they could cross paths again to create something incredible. Unfortunately, DiCaprio didn't appear in Tarantino's next film The Hateful Eight.

Although, fans were excited to hear that DiCaprio would be the leading role in Tarantino's newest film,Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and oh man... did they deliver.

When DiCaprio first appeared in Django: Unchained, he made a huge splash with his performance as Mousier Calvin Candie, one of the biggest plantation owners in the South. DiCaprio's portrayal of the slave owner should've earned him an Oscar nomination, especially after the dining room scene where he cut open his hand on a piece of glass. He continued the scene without hesitation and even improvised with his dripping blood by rubbing it all over Kerry Washington's face. DiCaprio was now part of the director's close-knit group of actors Tarnatino calls when he's working on another film.

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is Tarantino's 9th film in his supposed out of the 10 he wants to direct and write and it has everything a Tarantino fan can ask for. Stretching tension to the very limit, great writing, bloody violent scenes, and recreation of history. DiCaprio's second coming into the Tarantino-verse is as Rick Dalton, an actor well past his prime and near the end of his career in Hollywood. DiCaprio is nominated for Best Actor this year in line to win his second Academy Award.

DiCaprio has been nominated for five Academy Awards one of them being the ever-elusive win that everyone wanted for the actor for years. Tarantino's films have always done well in earning Oscar nominations, but this year Once Upon A Time in Hollywood has earned 10 nominations. The film is nominated for best actor, best-supporting actor, best picture, best original screenplay, best director, best cinematography, best sound mixing, best costume design, best production design, and best sound mixing. The one thing we do know for sure with these nominations is that Hollywood loves movies about itself. We'll have to wait and see on February 9th to see how the film performs
