In the early days following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s now-infamous exit announcement, the media and general public seemed to immediately pounce on the couple.
Everyone was up in arms trying to determine why such an unprecedented step would be taken. Fingers pointed and blame was laid. But it would appear things are starting to turn around for the Sussexes. Reports are now claiming several members of the Royal Family had closer relationships with Harry and Meghan than once thought.
Aside from critics claiming Duchess Meghan was selfishly seeking a Hollywood career, most rumors centered around supposed rifts between the Cambridges (Prince William and Princess Kate) and the Sussexes (Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan).
Reports claimed Meghan and Kate were constantly at odds with each other and that the tension in their relationship had forced William and Harry to fight amongst themselves, as well. Some have accused Meghan of being jealous of Kate and trying to steal attention away from her.
It turns out, these reports may not show the entire story. Sources are now sharing the Royals’ alleged reaction to Harry and Meghan’s big move. Reports say Harry’s father — Prince Charles — is quite upset with the decision because he had grown very close to his daughter-in-law.
Kate is also said to be feeling the distance between the Sussexes and herself. Sources say the Duchess of Cambridge had a very good friendship with Harry and that she is now missing him.
Now a source says there is a third Royal Family member who might have had a close relationship with the Sussexes. Prince Charles’ wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, is said to have supported Harry and Meghan’s decision to move to Canada.
Sources claim Camilla told Meghan to “follow her heart” and that she had known about the couple’s decision to step down as senior royals before the plan was announced. Some claim that Prince Charles was upset with Camilla after learning of this support.
It would appear Meghan’s heart is leading her back to the film industry. The former Suits actor is said to be seeking a manager or agent to help her get back to her acting roots.
Prince Harry is doing his part to aid his wife in this process. He was recently caught on video pitching Meghan as a voiceover actor to Disney’s Bob Iger … successfully. Meghan will be performing in an upcoming project. Harry has also suggested Meghan direct films and has generally been very supportive of her acting career.
