Adele Talked About Canceling Vegas Concert

During the interview, the 34-year-old did not hesitate to talk about how she felt after canceling her Las Vegas residency. The event was scheduled to hold at the Colosseum located in Caesar's Palace; however, the artist canceled the event in what she described as "the worst moment in my career."

At the time, Adele posted an emotional video to her fans, canceling the show and apologizing for the inconvenience. The artist was initially set to start her Weekends with Adele show early this year. She revealed that a few hours before the event, she was not pleased with several things concerning the show.

The 34-year-old recalled, "There was just no soul in it. The stage setup wasn't right. It was very disconnected from me and my band, and it lacked intimacy. And maybe I tried too hard to give it those things in such a controlled environment."

The superstar also talked about the outrage displayed by her fans, who had spent a lot of money on not only the tickets but accommodations and transportation to see her perform. She revealed that while she was very embarrassed by the entire issue, it made her more confident.

Adele said, "But it actually made my self-confidence in myself grow because it was a very brave thing to do. And I don't think many people would have done what I did. I'm very proud of myself for standing by my artistic needs."

The Show Got Rescheduled

The artist set up new dates to make up for the canceled show. In July, Adele took to social media to reveal that the show was rescheduled for November, then proceeded to thank her fans for their continued patience.

The show would have 32 concert dates and run from November 18 this year, to march 25 in 2023. The star described her new, improved plans for the event as "nostalgic" and said the performances would tell the tale of her music career.

The singer added that the performance would be "really beautiful," and she would have a lot of conversations with her fans in the audience. "I haven't got any bullet points, obviously, when I talk. That's why my shows are so erratic. One time I gave, like, an hour speech about an aquarium!" she quipped.
