Kaley Cuoco Shines Light on Kobe Bryant's Death: Losing Him 'Has Been Eye-Opening'

Kaley Cuoco is back with her "Cup of Cuoco" but this time she's talking about a serious subject -- the loss of Kobe Bryant which she calls "eye-opening." Sitting down to reflect on the past week, the former "Big Bang" star is seen in pajamas and not wearing any makeup at all. Holding her coffee with her signature mug, the 34-year-old actress began discussing this week's events before launching into how the death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gigi, has affected her.

"I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the whole -- everything that's happened this week. I think it's made everybody look at themselves and their loved ones and their situations with a magnifying glass," she began. "When someone that, such a powerful being in our, well, someone that I grew up with and watched my whole life and idolized and made me love basketball so much." Kaley Cuoco says she can't stop thinking about Kobe's wife Vanessa Bryant. "Losing Kobe and his beautiful daughter has made everything very eye-opening and I just keep thinking about his beautiful wife."
Clarifying that she doesn't know them, she adds, "I think it's weird because it feels awkward to mention his family as if I know them. I don't know them. I feel like I do. He has brought us into their lives and their world for so long that I feel like I do but I don't." Kaley Cuoco says she's heading to New York City for two months to work but because of Kobe Bryant's unexpected death, she's making a pit stop to give her husband, Karl Cook, a hug.
"I'm heading to see Karl tonight. I've got to visit him on the way to New York. I haven't seen him in a while because we've both been so busy. But with all this, I just really want to give him a hug," Kaley Cuoco tells her fans. "I think it's important just to tell people that you love them," she adds while sipping her morning coffee. The actress then gets deep and reflects on just how precious life really is.
"Life is really -- we don't know. We don't know when our time is up. We have no control over that and coming from a control freak that's really hard to accept but we just don't," she says. "That's been definitely weighing on me this week and I'm sure it's been weighing on a lot of people." Continuing, Kaley Cuoco adds Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter's death has "definitely made us all look and step back and be grateful for what we have and the time that we have. It's really scary."
