Kim Zolciak's Daughter Ariana Biermann Detained On DUI Suspicion, Vows To Fight The Charge

Ariana Biermann, the daughter of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kim Zolciak, was recently arrested for a suspected DUI charge. The college student was first introduced to Bravo fans in 2008 while appearing alongside her mother and sister, Brielle.

Kim was a part of the "RHOA" until she left in 2012. The 44-year-old eventually returned as a guest star on the show in 2016 and stayed on for an extra season as a "friend" of a Housewife. She is currently married to retired American footballer Kroy Evan Biermann. 

In an incident she claimed was misinterpreted, Ariana, the reality star's 20-year-old daughter, was arrested alongside her longtime boyfriend, Hudson McLeroy. The duo was taken in for driving under the influence and eventually released on a bond.

Ariana was recently detained for allegedly driving while intoxicated by alcohol. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, August 13, and the 20-year-old was booked at the Forsyth County Jail. At the time of the arrest, she was with her on and off boyfriend, McLeroy, who was in the passenger's seat.

The college student got charged with "driving under the influence of alcohol, improper/erratic lane changes, and underage possession/purchase of alcohol." Besides her charge, McLeroy also got booked by the county jail for supplying alcohol to a minor.

His charges included "driving under the influence, furnishing alcohol to a minor, and violating the conditions of his limited driving permit." Ariana eventually got released on a bond of $5,120, along with her boyfriend. The 20-year-old was given a court date but denied the charges and revealed her intention to fight them.

Despite her DUI suspicion being confirmed by an officer on the scene, Ariana claimed she was not under the influence while driving. The college student's lawyer, Justin Spizman from Hawkins Spizman law firm, said just as much when addressing PeopleMagazine.

The lawyer said, "Ariana was involved in a minor fender bender. When police arrived on scene, the investigating officer immediately initiated an investigation for DUI. Despite Ariana's constant invocation that she was upset and anxious from the minor accident, the officer incorrectly concluded she was impaired by alcohol."

Spizman further revealed his client's intention to oppose the charges. "That was not the case," he continued. "She wholly denies these allegations and intends to fight these charges because she is not guilty of them."

Ariana and her longtime boyfriend McLeroy started dating in 2018 while the duo was in high school. The lovebirds went to their formal together, and she showed off their look in an Instagram photo just a few days before turning 17.

Her reality star mother, Kim, apparently supported the relationship as she wasted no time in gushing over the couple and their shared birthdays in the post's comment section. The star wrote, "Where does the time go?? My angel @arianabiermann is headed to Homecoming with @hudson.mcleroy. Are they not the cutest!!?! They are only a few hours apart and will both turn 17 this week!!"

Recently, Ariana posted an intimate picture with an unknown person captioned, "Glimpse of us." The photo was shared last month and showed an unclear image of the 20-year-old kissing an unknown person. Due to their on-and-off relationship, the college student's followers suspect the unnamed person could be McLeroy.

Ariana is the daughter of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kim. The reality star shares the 20-year-old with her previous husband, Daniel Toce. The duo was married between 2001 and 2003 before going their separate ways.

According to Radar Online, Kim separated from her ex-husband Toce after discovering that he was romantically and illegally involved with a 15-year-old. The sex offender was eventually prosecuted for his illicit dealings with a minor and jailed.

The 44-year-old was a single mother to Ariana and her older sister, Brielle, until she met and married former NFL player Kroy. The sisters were both adopted by their stepfather, and the married couple went on to have four more children, Kroy Jagger, Kash Kade, and twins Kane Ren and Kaia Rose together.
