It took Thompson a minute to process the significant win of getting the "2,728th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame," surrounded by friends, family, and fans. He expressed so in his post's caption, adding, "It's an absolute blessing to be here and a privilege to have made you laugh all these years, and here's to many more!!!!

The "Kenan" star went on to appreciate those who joined him and complimented their speeches, saying they were wonderful. He then added an inside joke and expressed his wish for his "brother," Kel Mitchell, to have been present at the ceremony. Unfortunately, Mitchell was not, but he was with them in spirit.

Even so, Mitchell's parents attended, which was "truly special" to Thompson, who also mentioned that the "entire Rockmore family" were there as well, adding "ifykyk." He then urged fans to find "the napkin" in the seventh slide of his post, thereby concluding the caption with, "Thank you for all the love and support y'all!!!" accompanied by three red heart emojis.

The Ohio-born comedian also included a carousel of ten snaps to the update. The first showed him grinning on a Hollywood Walk of Fame podium, while the next was of him being awarded his newest prize. After was a group picture including himself, his two little girls, two male buddies, and a female one whereas, the following slide was also a group shot but with four females posing with him in the middle.

Thompson, donning a tux, could be seen in the later pictures except for the ninth slide as it was a shot of a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star. The collection was then wrapped up with a video of him jumping into a pool with his suit on, leading to his child yelling, "Daddy, good job!"

Several days before the update, the "SNL" star's fantastic achievement was announced via an Instagram post from the "You Already Know Podcast" featuring a collaborative video with the awardee himself. The post's caption read, "Tomorrow, @kenanthonpson gets etched into immortality on The Hollywood Walk of Fame!"

What a great victory for excited Thompson, who was also honored not long ago to host the 74th Emmy Awards ceremony. As The Blast reported earlier this month, he shared the news to his numerous fans on Instagram, declaring that the event would be a great night.

It is set to hold on September 12 as announced by the TV Academy, also listing the "All That" star as a presenter of the upcoming ceremony. Thompson will be the latest addition to a long record of SNL stars to host the annual event, including notable personalities like Seth Meyers, Andy Samberg, Michael Che, Colin Jost, and Jimmy Fallon, among others.

Shortly after the announcement of his inclusion, he excitedly expressed his heartfelt gratitude, feeling special to be a part of the NBC tradition of honoring "the best of the television community."

The "Fat Albert" Star Attains Massive SNL Record With Over A Thousand Skits

Earlier this year, The Blast reported that Thompson achieved a huge "SNL" milestone marking his record-breaking 1,500th skit on the show. "Saturday Night Live" announced the update via Twitter with a congratulatory message and a backstage video of the record breaker celebrating the amazing win.

Being a longstanding member of SNL has had quite an impact on the "Kenan & Kel" star's career, which he candidly spoke about to Entertainment Weekly amid promotions of his show "Kenan." He explained that it might appear as a "hindrance" in another's career or feel like such a person was stuck, but he felt the complete opposite with SNL, as it was favorable.

Thompson confessed then, "It's always been a thing that makes people want to have me when I'm unattainable. So it's worked in my favor to be busy ten months of the year."
