Actress Anne Heche passed away one week after she sustained a catastrophic brain injury from a car accident on Friday, August 5. She was 53 years old.

Many have been taking to social media to pay tribute to the Emmy award-winning actress, including Ryan Tillotson, CEO and Co-Founder of Straw Hut Media and Producer of her Better Together Podcast.

In a short statement posted to their Instagram account, CEO Ryan Tillotson wrote, "This week, the Straw Hut Media family lost someone irreplaceable. More than a beloved host, Anne was my friend, collaborator, and a d--- good actress. Anne added life to every room she entered with her tremendous energy and welcoming presence."

"I will remember her most for her big heart, her commitment to the people she loved, and the fearless way she fought for what she believed in," he went on. "Better Together wasn’t just a podcast, it was a belief system. She believed the best way to grow and improve yourself was to talk openly and share stories. We’re committed to continuing her legacy in that way."

"It’s surreal to think I’ll no longer be seeing her every week," he continued. "Los Angeles is a quieter and sadder place without her; I can feel it. My heart hurts. I love you, Anne. Please send all your love and support to her two boys, Atlas and Homer, and the rest of her chosen family."

Heche's best friend, Nancy Davis, also took to social media to share several snaps of her and Anne Heche together.

In a thoughtful Instagram post, Nancy Davis paid tribute to the late "Volcano" actress with a brief statement, writing, "Heaven has a new Angel."

"My loving, kind, fun, endearing, and beautiful friend @anneheche went to heaven," she continued. "I will miss her terribly and cherish all the beautiful memories we have shared. Anne was always the kindest, most thoughtful person who always brought out the best in me."

"She was so supportive with anything she could do to help with my charity @racetoerasems and more recently @cureaddictionnow and would always say yes when she knew she could contribute something with her time, talent, and creative genius to help find a cure for MS," she concluded. "My heart is broken ??."

She concluded her post with the hashtags #heavenhasanewangel and #heavenhasanotherangel.

Famous Friends Pay Tribute To The Late Anne Heche, Gone Too Soon

"The Bay" actor Stephen Kunken tweeted a photo of the two together, writing, "Some years ago I was Anne Heche’s quirky suitor in PROOF on Broadway. She was as kooky and utterly fabulous as I could have ever dreamed. An immense talent I loved playing opposite & more importantly a truly decent human and friend. The news is just unendingly sad."

"Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn was also a fan of her work in PROOF, tweeting, "Honest to God, I think maybe the best acting performance I’ve ever seen in my life was Anne Heche in PROOF on Broadway. #RIP."

The Daytime Emmys tweeted, "The Daytime Emmys sends love and light to the family and loved ones of Daytime Emmy winner Anne Heche. Her performance as Victoria/Marley on Another World touched the world and lives on in our memories. Our sincerest sympathies."

Ellen DeGeneres, who had famously dated Anne Heche from 1997 to 2000, tweeted, "This is a sad day. I'm sending Anne's children, family, and friends all of my love."
