The talk show host and “Riverdale actor,” have built up an amazing career and family, and people are wondering how they have made it work all these years. With three beautiful kids, they are still one of the hottest couples in Hollywood. Being married is one thing, but staying in that marriage takes a lot of continuous work, and that is what Ripa revealed in an interview recently.
With their 24th marriage anniversary coming up soon, the couple would like to share with their fans; the secret to their successful marriage.
The first time Kelly Ripa and Consuelos met, was on set for a soap opera titled “All My Children.” They starred as the lovely couple on the show, and made fans believe that the love and romance was real. According to Consuelos, he saw Ripa as a hot and beautiful young woman, however, he paid more attention to the soap opera rather than asking her on a date.
However, for Ripa, her feelings came naturally, as she could barely resist him the moment she set her eyes on him.
“When I saw him, the photograph of him, I saw my entire future with him.” she said.
The duo kicked off their relationship after a while, but they decided to keep it a secret. The couple worked on the show for about six years until Ripa got another job with another network.
Speaking to Yahoo Entertainment recently, Ripa gave a detailed explanation of what has helped her marriage work all these years. She mentioned that fighting and disagreements would always occur, but that is why a marriage is not a race that needs to be finished in time.
Ripa said that there are times in a marriage that people feel like they want it to end, but the best thing to do at that moment is give it another try and push through. She said that it is different when there is abuse in the marriage, but if there isn’t, then couples ought to learn how to fight for one another.
Moving on, the “Live With Kelly and Ryan” star also talked about how communication has helped her marriage. She said that most times, either of them is on set, so they communicate through texts a lot.
