Rapper and businessman 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, displayed a lesser-seen side of himself following the death of Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant. The tragic accident apparently put some things into perspective for the artist.
Jackson shared his condolences with the Bryant family via Twitter yesterday. Afterward, he publicly vowed to end his feuds and find new ways of dealing with disputes. The entertainer has had more than his fair share of beef in the public eye, but has learned the error of his ways. 50 posted the following tweet:
i feel like i have to achieve what i want in life now after this. i have to focus, i’m not arguing with anyone anymore I’ll deal with it another way if there’s a problem. #starzgetthapp #abcforlife Feb 11 pic.twitter.com/K41wGQmQFH

Of late, 50 Cent has been a busy man. He somehow found time in between working on his television projects to troll everyone from Oprah Winfrey to Empire cast member Taraji P. Henson.
50 Cent had a cold-blooded ~~apology~~ message for Taraji and the cast of Empire after the actress, who plays character “Cookie Lyon,” accused 50 Cent of inciting unnecessary conflict and competition between Empire and his own show Power for personal gain in an interview with T.I. according to The Source.
50 Cent also went after media mogul Oprah Winfrey last year. In an Instagram photo caption, 50 accused OWN mogul of “going after black men.”
He said that her work on #MeToo inspired documentary content convicted the film’s subjects in the mind of the public and hinted that said film projects work to minimize and confuse the legacies of high profile Black celebrities who had not been found guilty and convicted of any crime including Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, and Russell Simmons.
In these instances, 50 Cent aimed to preserve the legacy of these icons and defended their right to due process of law.
The ~~rapper~~ mogul is currently in a legal battle with Love and Hip Hop Hollywood star Teairra Mari. The singer- turned- reality-TV star owes 50 Cent $34,000 for his legal fees after she lost a court battle raged against the mogul. Back in 2018, 50 Cent re-posted graphic “revenge porn” images of Teairra Mari that had been leaked by her ex-boyfriend. A judged ruled in favor of 50 Cent and he now wants to garnish her reality TV checks for payment of the debt. He claims to have not seen a penny from the singer.
This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to 50 Cent, the man, the beef, and the battles. It’s true though, that lessons often from in the form of pain.
It is certain that this sudden and tragic event has shown 50 Cent that life is too short to spend energy arguing and fighting. 50 is known for his no-holds-barred approach to conflict. Though it came from a sore place, 50 Cent’s rationale and the gist of his message are positive and that’s all one can hope for at a time such as this.
