Following the news of Rihanna’s recent split from Arab billionaire Hassan Jameel, it looks as if Chris Brown might be trying to rekindle his old flame with the Bajan beauty.
The 30-year-old “Loyal” hitmaker took to his official Instagram page on Monday when he admitted that he’s still in love with one of his ex-girlfriends, but who could he possibly be talking about? Fans were quick to chime in, with many assuming Chris was talking about Rih-Rih, who recently split from Jameel.
The video Chris had posted on his social media page showed the singer gleefully smiling, with an accompanying caption that read, “When someone asks, after all this time… why are you still in love WITH HER?”
Brown continued, “My ANSWER: BECAUSE TIME HAS NO RELEVANCE WHEN IT’S UNCONDITIONAL.” And, of course, it wasn’t long before his fans were quick to jump to the assumption that this was Chris’ way of making it known that he still wanted Rihanna back.
Fans, however, felt torn with the thought of Breezy and Rih-Rih getting back together, it seemed.
“Wow, after all these years and you’re still in love with Rihanna. Shoot your shot, bro,” one fan wrote in the commenting box while another added, “Well, she’s single now so you better let her know that you want that old thing back.”
Another person continued the conversation, saying, “I don’t think this is a good idea. Chris, you just had a baby with another woman and think that Rihanna is going to want you back? That’s hilarious.”
Despite all the comments that were pouring in, Chris Brown never mentioned the person he was referring to when he wrote the caption. But perhaps he didn’t see any reason to clear things up because his fans were onto something.
Whatever the case may be, comments were soon shut off under the Instagram post and the post disappeared from Chris’ Instagram page not too long after that.
Of course, Chris’ post comes just weeks after it was claimed that the father-of-two was quietly dating Ammika Harris — the woman who also recently welcomed his second child into the world, Aeko. The baby boy was born in November 2019, and Chris has been flooding her Instagram page with comments ever since.
Meanwhile, Rihanna has recently found herself linked back to her old flame, A$ap Rocky, who she had been spotted with on numerous occasions since calling it quits with Hassan. The two shared a brief romance back in 2012 before Rihanna would go on to rekindle things with Chris later that year.
The “Diamonds” star hasn’t mentioned being dragged into the mix of Chris Brown’s recent Instagram post, and if one was to believe that she’s gotten back with A$ap Rocky, it’s very unlikely that the former couple stands a chance of getting back together anytime soon.
