A rare video of the late Kobe Bryant balling with supermodel Cindy Crawford has been making waves on Instagram. The supermodel is amid the slew of celebrities paying tribute to the 41-year-old NBA icon following his tragic passing – Kobe, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven others were killed on Sunday aboard a helicopter that burst into flames.

Cindy took to Instagram following the news with a 1997 video of herself and Kobe. The video was also posted by 18-year-old daughter Kaia.

Cindy's video was definitely old-school. The quality was poor, but Kobe's stardom was all there. The Los Angeles Lakers player was just 19 at the time, seen towering over Cindy as he bounced a ball around and gave the model a mini coaching session.

"In the midst of the unimaginable loss of Kobe and his beautiful daughter Gigi, I’m remembering how much joy and life he brought to the world—on and off the court. Sharing this happy moment reminds me how lucky i was to have spent time with him early in his career. My heart is with Vanessa and his family and all those affected by this tragedy. ???," Cindy captioned the video.

Cindy's video didn't take long to bring in comments. The video itself also clocked an impressive 368,000+ views in just two hours.

"It’s just devastating. I still can’t believe it," one fan wrote.

"Remembering old dimes is fun, sorry for the great loss on his death," another added.

"He just a sweet adorable person inside and out" was another comment.

The video was a clip from when Cindy interviewed a teen Kobe back in 1999. Cindy had, at the time, made waves for appearing to flirt with Bryant.

Also leaving a heartfelt tribute was former President Barack Obama.

"Kobe was a legend on the court and just getting started in what would have been just as meaningful a second act. To lose Gianna is even more heartbreaking to us as parents. Michelle and I send love and prayers to Vanessa and the entire Bryant family on an unthinkable day," Barack tweeted.
