Jennifer Aniston's 'I Broke My F---ing Vagina' Monologue Will Either Speak To You Or Educate You

Jennifer Aniston may well have delivered her most powerful performance to date. The precise moment stands at Season 1, Episode 7 of the 50-year-old actress' new Apple TV series, "The Morning Show," and it's been getting noticed by fans.

A long, poignant, angry, and emotional monologue from Aniston sees her take the reins in a scene that many a mother will, in part, resonate with – for any middle-aged mom who's had to break divorce news to a child, the monologue may seem even more relatable.

In a nutshell, "The Morning Show"sees Jennifer play TV anchor Alex Levy. Alex is going through a divorce and heads to daughter Lizzy's dorm room to break the news to her college-aged daughter. Lizzy isn't too keen on her mother overall – "Go share it with America. They'll take care of you," Lizzy tells Alex in yet another moment alluding to her mom always having put her career first.

And so begins the monologue.

"Fck you, kid. Fck you! And I mean how f*cking dare you," Alex opens.

Alex continues as she stands in her daughter's dorm room with the pizza peace offering that remains untouched.

"After all that I have done and all that I have given to you. My life. My love. My body. I broke my f-cking vagina with that big, f-cking head of yours. And I had to be surgically sewn back together. I bet you didn’t know that, did you?” she says, adding:

“I’m a human being, Lizzy. And you know what else? Don’t you dare bitch at me about my career, little miss I’m so progressive. Yes, I worked my -ss off to get where I am. And I wanted it. I wanted to be something. I wanted to mean something in this world. I didn’t know that was a f*cking crime.”

"The Morning Show" sees Aniston star alongside alongside Reese Witherspoon and "The Office" actor Steve Carell. Both Jennifer and Reese are receiving $2 million per episode as their salary – the total amount netted for the two seasons ordered thus far totals $40 million for each actress, respectively.

Reese has defended the paycheck.

“I guarantee these companies are real smart, and if they agree to pay us, they’re doing it for a reason. They probably had a lot of lawyers and a lot of business people decide on that number because they knew that they were going to make more than that back," she told Rolling Stone, adding:

“Does it bother people when Kobe Bryant or LeBron James make their contract?”

It's worth noting that the actress statement was made prior to the recent death of Kobe Bryant.

Jennifer's powerful performance spans throughout "The Morning Show." It may well also be the reason behind the star's headline-making SAG Awards win this year.

By and large, fans have warmed immensely to "The Morning Show." Despite the gung-ho name that suggests some kind of Kelly Ripa setup, the series is, in fact, a serious one. It explores the hashtag "Me Too" via Carell's character Mitch Kessler having been fired for a sexual misconduct scandal.

The series also stars Kerry Washington and Billy Crudup.
