Camila Cabello Gets Physical With New Man While Shawn Mendes Gets Back To Simpler Life

Shawn Mendes is getting back to basics.

Or at the very least, re-learning the basics of being an everyday person in this world.

The superstar musician has been taking some much needed time off and grounding himself in the simpler things in life.

Mendes recently announced that he’d be canceling the North American and UK/Europe legs of his world tour titled, “Wonder: The World Tour.”

He explained to fans that his mental health was not in a steady place to continue performing night after night.

After speaking with a group of health professionals, it became apparent to Mendes that he needed to take a major step back from the tour.

“It has become more clear that I need to take the time I’ve never taken personally, to ground myself and come back stronger,” he wrote. “I unfortunately have to cancel the rest of the tour dates in North American, and the UK / Europe. We were hopeful that I might be able to pick up with the rest of the dates after some much needed time off, but at this time I have to put my health as my first priority.”

The “Mercy” singer was caught by paparazzi at LAX on Tuesday, August 9, catching a car ride home.

A bit frustrated, he told the pap, “Sorry dude, I’m just looking for my car.”

Of course, the pap didn’t let up and kept prying about what Shawn’s doing to “unwind” and get right.

You can tell from the video that Mendes knew the pap wouldn’t let up.

“I’m taking a lot of time just like doing therapy and yeah, just taking it easy man,” he said. “I think, like, spending time with family that I haven’t been able to and just like…”

Mendes explained that he’s been spending more time doing things he hasn’t been able to do since shooting to A-list celebrity status.

He’s having dinners with friends and paparazzi recently caught him spending some quality time at the beach with friends.

While Mendes is getting right mentally, his ex-girlfriend Camila Cabello is getting close with a new man.

The “Havana” songstress was recently photographed walking hand-in-hand with Austin Kevitch, the CEO of the Lox Club dating app.

On Monday, August 8, Cabello and Kevitch were seen with their hands interlocked while walking around Los Angeles.

The day before they were also spotted together at an intimate lunch engaging in some PDA.

Cabello has not confirmed the relationship, but she hasn’t denied it either.

The pair first sparked romance rumors in June. They follow each other on Instagram, which is always a tell-tale sign of *something* potentially going on.

In June, Entertainment Tonight reported that the pair had mutual friends and it was dating app CEO who asked them to set him up with the former Fifth Harmony singer.

This is Cabello’s first romance/relationship since her November 2021 split from Mendes.

The couple began dating in July 2019 after their song “Señorita” took the music scene by storm. There had long been rumors of more going on between Mendes and Cabello BTS.

The ex-couple announced their breakup in a joint statement on Instagram Stories.

"Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever ❤️" read the statement. "We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends."

"We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward ❤️❤️❤️ Camila and Shawn," the statement concluded.
