Kobe Bryant was a former professional basketball player, who made a name for himself on and off the courts.

He was a basket-baller for two decades, after which, he decided to retire and focus on other things. Bryant is a role model to many basketball era in the world including Lebron James.

Throughout his career, Bryant played for Los Angeles Lakers at the National Basketball Association (NBA). Bryant became one of the few basketball legends to win five NBA championships without a hiccup.

Bryant came from a family of basketball lovers as his father, Joe Bryant was also a successful basketball player back in the days. He was a student at Lower Merion High School, where he played a lot for his school and won a lot of games. Later on, the school acknowledged that Bryant was top best basketball player they had, and when he finally graduated in 1996, he decided to join the NBA draft of that year. Initially, Bryant was part of Charlotte Hornets, but he was later traded into the Lakers club.

When Bryant joined the Lakers as a rookie, he slowly went up the ladder of fame to become one of the best and eventually the best in the game. Together with Shaquille O’Neal, the MBA players took the Lakers club to NBA champions from 2000-2002.

The following year after the championship, Bryant faced a lawsuit for sexually assault, but fortunately , the charges were dropped.

In 2004, the Lakers lost the NBA finals, and O’Neal was given to another club called Miami Heat. This made Bryant step up his game and became the cornerstone of his club.

From 2005 to 2007, the Lakers were on fire as Bryant had the highest scoring points in the history of basketball. They were also regarded as the legendary team after Bryant won the award for Most Valuable Player in 2008.

In this year, the Lakers sadly lost in the NBA finals, but in 2009 and 2010, Bryant led his team to victory and bagged the Finals MVP Award.

In 2013, Bryant was taken to the hospital after suffering a major injury from a torn Achilles’ tendon. However, he healed very fast.

For several months after his tendon was repaired, Bryant faced several minor injuries; ranging from knee wot back pain and he knew at that moment that it was time to sit back and relax. Until his retirement, Bryant still remained the best basketball player with record-breaking scoring point.

In 2001, Bryant got married to the love of his life, Vanessa Laine at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, after courting for two years. Vanessa also told a news outlet that Bryant did not make her sign a prenuptial agreement because he loved her too much.

Kobe Bryant is survived by four beautiful children and his wife.
