Kim Kardashian's Ex, Pete Davidson Getting Help To Cope With Kanye West's Cyber Abuse

Actor and comedian Pete Davidson has been visiting a therapist following months of online criticism from Kanye West due to his affair with Kim Kardashian.

Since the beginning of the comedian's relationship with the female business entrepreneur, West has been outspoken about his displeasure with their romance, resorting to making snide comments on social media about Davidson and even his ex-wife.

While some of those antics were done subtly, others were over the edge, involving threatening messages, even though the rapper did not attack physically. Reports have now confirmed that those ordeals took a toll on Davidson and compelled him to seek trauma therapy treatment.

Earlier in the week, a source close to the comedian shared with People how Davidson's mental health has been affected by West's constant online harassment and antics.

"He has been in trauma therapy in large part [due to Kanye]," the source told the publication. "The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete], and he's had to seek out help."

Before his recent split with the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star, the comedian was reportedly receiving trauma therapy for many months, according to reports. Regarding the ended romance, the insider said Davidson "has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she's been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship."

Davidson reportedly has no intentions to start dating again anytime soon after their separation. For the near future, the "Saturday Night Live" star "just wants to focus on his career," per the insider.

Given how frequently Davidson and the SKIMS businesswoman engaged in PDA, many fans were shocked to learn about their breakup and were curious about what led them to decide to part ways after nine months of dating.

"Part of the reason they split was because of their busy schedules," a source shared about the reason behind the pair's decision. "They both travel all the time, and it was hard."

The couple had at first attempted long-distance dating, but it did not pan out well. Another insider claimed that there were no future intentions for the pair to get back together, adding that there were no disputes behind the shocking separation.

"It was an amicable split. They had discussed ending their relationship for a bit. It wasn't sudden," the source told People. "And it was a mutual decision. Getting back together is not in the cards right now."

While the news of the couple's separation upset their followers, Kardashian's ex-husband, West, appeared to be celebrating it. He posted a photo on Instagram of a fake New York Times with the headline, "Skete Davidson Dead at Age 28."

In the since-deleted post, West also shared a statement about Kid Cudi being scheduled to play at the funeral but opted out of the event due to his fear of bottle throwers. The diss referenced an incident that occurred at the Rolling Loud Miami festival last month, where fans in attendance threw water bottles at Kid Cudi while he was on stage.

The fact that the rapper and West have previously claimed to have a falling out only served to highlight the "Donda Chant" crooner's willingness to attack his foes whenever he has the chance. Kid Cudi's falling out with West was spurred by his friendship with Davidson.

Davidson And Kardashian have not taken West's practical joke lightly, as their representatives both contacted Instagram to report the post and seek stringent measures against West. A source told People about the pair's move saying, "[Davidson's] team and Kim's have reached out repeatedly to Instagram asking to make the platform a safer space."

As for Kardashian and West's ongoing divorce suit, the insider revealed that there were no plans to slow down on officially finalizing their divorce. The tv star filed for divorce back in January 2021, after months of living separately and going through marital counseling with West.

The estranged couple shares four children, North, nine, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, three, and have been co-parenting the quartet since they started living separately.
