'Bachelorette' Contestant Tyler Gwozdz Dead Age Age 29 Of Apparent Drug Overdose

"The Bachelorette" contestant Tyler Gwozdz is dead at age 29, according to TMZ, which confirmed the news with the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner's Office.
It was reported on Thursday morning that Gwozdz had been rushed to the hospital after being found in his home unresponsive from a suspected heroin overdose. He was in the intensive care unit, but was reportedly never able to recover.

In a 911 call obtained by both outlets, a woman could be heard telling dispatchers she thought Gwozdz had overdosed on heroin before she broke down the door to the bathroom to reach the 29-year-old. She attempted to locate Narcan, a nasal spray that can help reverse an opioid overdose.
After officers and paramedics arrived at the scene, the reality personality was transported to a nearby hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit, where he remained for a week and was listed in critical but stable condition. He was no longer a current patient in the hospital's system as of Tuesday, Jan. 21.
Tyler was a contestant on last year's season of "The Bachelorette," and was the first guy to get a one-on-one date with Hannah Brown. Shortly after, he had to leave the show for reasons that were unclear at the time.
"Tyler G. had to leave, and that’s upsetting because I really enjoyed my date with him," Brown said on camera at the time.
Gwozdz sent an email to the outlet Refinery29 in May 2019 to refute rumors that he was kicked off the show for troubling details about past relationships with former girlfriends.
"Addressing totally unsubstantiated rumors posted to Reddit from an anonymous account seems imprudent," he wrote. "I feel that even addressing them gives them some sort attention and fuel but I continue to have faith in my journey and in a purpose for everything that’s happened to me in my life. Above everything else I am a son to my mother. She raised me to be better than these sort of baseless accusations. The rumors are so far out of the realm of my personality and values that it seems silly to waste time denying, but I suppose I will for the record. BUT I will be alright."
"The Internet is an amazing tool and can be used to create all sorts of good in the world, but I think it’s important that we address the reality of the situation. Anybody can say anything they want about anybody they want. Period," Gwozdz continued.
"It’s having a shocking effect on the younger generation, ESPECIALLY young women. Girls are about twice as likely as boys to be victims of cyberbullying, and bullying victims are 2 to 9 times more likely to consider committing suicide. Please think about what you post. I am more than happy to take the slings and arrows of the internet world if it can help save one young person from experiencing what my family and I are currently battling.
