'RHONJ' Drama: Joe And Melissa Gorga Boycott Teresa Giudice's Wedding

"RHOJ" star Teresa Giudice will soon tie the nuptial knot with her fiance, Luis Ruelas. The pair are set to be married on August 6, 2022, at the Park Chateau Estate in Brunswick, New Jersey.

While this is an exciting life update, her brother Joe Gorga doesn't appear excited. Multiple sources confirm that Joe and his wife, Melissa Gorga, will not be attending Giudice's wedding, which is set to be filmed for a Bravo special.

A source also told Page Six that although Joe and Melissa were invited, they declined the invitation to

the wedding of Joe's only sibling.

It was recently reported that Joe and Melissa wouldn't be going to the wedding between Giudice and Ruelas. The pair, who have been dating since 2020 and got engaged a year after, were set to get married today at Park Chateau Estate in Brunswick, New Jersey.

However, Giudice's brother and her sister-in-law won't be in attendance. It was also confirmed that they were invited to the wedding but declined the invitation. This news came after a fight that occurred during the filming of the "RHONJ" season 13 finale.

"They were invited," an insider told Page Six. "There was a very tense 'Housewives' finale filmed earlier this week," the source added.

A representative for Giudice refused to comment on how the reality star felt about her brother and his wife, nor did she give any insight into what caused the Gorgas to decline the wedding invitation.

Trouble might have started to brew after the reality star disclosed in March that Melissa wouldn't be one of her bridesmaids at the wedding.

She revealed this at the "Watch What Happens Live" show when Andy Cohen asked her if Melissa would be part of her bridesmaids.

"Don't make a big deal. I mean, come on," Giudice warned Cohen.

The host then asked if this revelation would be news to Melissa, to which she responded in the affirmative. "I guess so. I mean, hello! We're on national TV."

Melissa shared on her "On Display" podcast that she was okay with her sister-in-law's decision. However, she wondered if Giudice would ask her "new Sister-in-laws" to be her bridesmaids.

"I guess my big question is, are her new sister-in-laws in the wedding?" Melissa asked. "Is it like a no-fam wedding other than the four daughters, her four beautiful daughters, and a couple of her friends? I think that makes perfect sense if that's the case."

Although Melissa was okay with Giudice's decision, Joe, on the other hand, considered it disrespectful.

"Regardless if she liked my wife or didn't like my wife, she's smacking me in the face, and she's giving me no respect, and she's making it hard on me," Joe revealed on the "Melissa Gorga on Display" podcast in May. "It's not about just my wife — it's basically 'I don't care about my brother.'"

Joe also added that if he were the one getting married, he would involve his sibling's spouse in the wedding arrangements even if he didn't like them. He shared that he didn't want any drama and, if anything, wanted the wedding to be a great day.

"I don't want drama. I want it to be a great day," he said. "I want to be happy, and I want my sister there, and I want it to be peaceful [and] make my sister happy."

According to a Page Six inside source, Giudice and Ruelas' special day will be filmed for a Bravo special.

Although it's unclear how many episodes the special will consist of, the release date will come after the season finale's filming ends.

No one knows how the Bravo network will handle the Gorgas' absence from the wedding, considering that they were supposed to be filmed as part of it.

Other Bravolebrities to be present for the wedding include "Cynthia Bailey, Phaedra Parks, Dorinda Medley, Ashley Darby, Jill Zarin, and all of the New Jersey Housewives, except one."

Jackie Goldschneider and Margaret Josephs will also be present, as well as Giudice's close pals, Dolores Catania and Jennifer Aydin.
