Lori Harvey hired a high-powered attorney, who previously got Lindsay Lohan and Mel Gibson off, to fight her criminal charges.
According to reports, 23-year-old Lori has retained Blair Berk to represent her in court over an alleged hit and run.
Berk has represented countless celebrities over the years and has a record of negotiating favorable deals for her clients. Lindsay Lohan hired Berk to fight two DUI cases in 2007, where the actress avoided jail time.
She represented Mel Gibson against criminal charges accusing him of domestic violence. The actor walked away with no jail time.
Lori is clearly ready to fight the case after entering a not guilty plea. The L.A. County District Attorney’s Office filed 2 charges relating to her October hit and run arrest.
She was charged with misdemeanors for resisting/delaying/obstructing a peace officer and hit and run which resulted in property damage.
Lori is facing one year behind bars on the obstructing a police officer charge. Back in October, Lori was driving a Mercedes SUV around Beverly Hills. She allegedly crashed her car into another car and flipped her vehicle. She is accused of fleeing the scene before cops arrived.
Police arrived at the scene and were able to track down Lori. The Beverly Hills Police Department arrested Lori on two counts: “misdemeanor hit and run and delaying a police investigation.”
She was arrested and released on scene. A hearing has been scheduled for next month.
Lori has been living her best life amid the legal trouble. Her boyfriend Future recently took her on a birthday vacation to Jamaica. The two shared rare photos while partying in Montego Bay. The rapper went all out by planning a massive birthday dinner, where Lori looked amazing in a see-through dress.
