Kelly Ripa may be a successful talk show host and television producer, but she isn't wasting any of her hard-earned dollars on frivolous food purchases.
On Tuesday's episode of "Live with Kelly and Ryan," Ripa dished that she ended her daughter Lola Consuelos' debit card privileges after seeing how much she spent on Postmates while at college.
"Oh, we shut down that debit card account she had," Kelly exclaimed to the crowd after explaining how Lola was ditching the school cafeteria in favor of the convenient food-ordering app.

Ripa started out by explaining that she and husband Mark Consuelos didn't leave their daughter hungry while she was at New York University.
"I didn't know our daughter had Postmates. She's at college and we signed her up for a meal plan, cause we're not monsters. We signed her up for a meal program," Ripa explained to the audience.
However, Ripa soon found out her 18-year-old was skipping the cafeteria line to order fast food from her phone instead.
"But you know, she doesn't like the meals at school so she was ordering Postmates," Kelly confirmed.

Kelly cleared up for fans why she isn't a Postmates fan and how her daughter was wasting cash on food she could've walked to get.
"Here's what would happen. She would order the $7 salad but it would cost $25 to have it delivered three blocks in New York City," Ripa said.
However, Ripa knew better than to send her daughter back to college with the opportunity to order endless Postmates entrees again.
"Oh we shut down that debit card account she had," Kelly said to the audience.

Lola is currently entering the spring semester of her first year in college. She started her freshman year back in September at New York University.
Ripa stayed by her daughter's side when dropping her off on move-in day. She shared a selfie of the two on her story commemorating the moment with text that read "Literally like, bye ma."
Lola's 22-year-old brother Michael also attends New York University, where he studies film. Lola is currently studying music business and the performing arts, according to Cosmo.

Despite the little slip-up with her high Postmates bill, both Lola and Kelly often show off their close mother-daughter relationship.
Just this last weekend, Lola posted a loving throwback video with her mom, with the caption "Mommy" and a heart emoji. The video shows Kelly holding her daughter back when she was a toddler and playfully lifting Lola up on her shoulders.
Fans praised their tight-knit relationship, calling the video "adorable" and "cute" in the comment section.
"This is beautiful. I love this. What a great memory," one fan wrote with heart emojis.
