Christie Brinkley Asks For Reading Recommendations In Stunning Black Swimsuit

Actress Christie Brinkley is 68 and STILL living her best life.

After posing in a stunning black swimsuit for the cover of Social Life’s July 2022 issue, the former Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover model posted a photo on Friday morning in the same swimsuit to dish on her plans for the weekend!

If spending the weekend sunbathing by the pool and catching up on some reading sounds like the perfect life to you, then the “Vegas Vacation” actress is living it! On Friday, August 5, she shared a snap from her Social Life magazine photoshoot, that shows her laughing at something on her phone.

She has creamy white open-toed sandals on her feet that are propped up on the outdoor table in front of her, which are covered with a spread of open magazines that also litter the ground around her. Brinkley doesn’t look 68 as her long blonde hair frames her face and falls in loose waves over her shoulder. She’s wearing a one-piece black swimsuit with a belted middle that looks the same as the way she’s wearing on the magazine cover.

“It’s the Weekend! I’m going to catch up on some reading!” Brinkley wrote in the caption. “I finally got around to reading the riveting autobiography by the incredible @demimoore ‘Inside Out.’ It’s a page turner! Once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down!”

“Now I’m half way thru another bestselling autobiography…this one by the gifted singer songwriter and best friend of my hero @jonimitchell @brandicarlile After I devour the rest of this great book this week end…What should I read next?” she asked her followers.

Recently, the "National Lampoon's Vacation" actress revealed why she loves to post so many swimsuit snaps for her Instagram followers!

In April 2021, the "American Style" star spoke to Fox News Digital about why she loves sharing her swimsuit snaps all over social media.

"I post these pictures because I hear from women my age all the time that say, ‘Thank you for changing the way people think about the numbers,’" she said at the time. "Back in the day, numbers represented something. I remember people thinking that after 30, you should never wear your hair past your shoulders or your hemline needed to hover your knee caps."

"I’ve always found those rules so limiting," Christie continued. "Everybody’s different, everybody’s unique. But it’s like telling a gymnast she can’t do flips past a certain age. It doesn’t make sense. If you’ve got great legs, show them. If there’s something about yourself that you really love, celebrate that. Don’t be controlled by those numbers."

When asked if she would ever model as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl again, Christie Brinkley replied, "Hmm, I doubt it. I feel like I've been there, done that."

She continued, "I think when I put on my bathing suit again, I want to also have a snorkel and go diving, see the fish."
