Country singer Wynonna Judd is reportedly planning on contesting the will created by her mother, Naomi Judd. The two stars had made up the country music duo known as The Judds, who won multiple accolades for their music and were beloved figures in the country music community.

But ever since Naomi's will was released, it seems that drama has been going on behind the scenes. Although Naomi did not name her daughters in her will, fans have speculated that there must have been a trust or something else set up for her children.

It's starting to seem like that may not be the case, as Wynonna is reportedly talking to attorneys to formally contest her mother's will.

According to the Daily Mail, Wynonna's sister, Ashley Judd, is fine with her mother's decision to name Larry Strickland the sole executor of her will. Larry and Naomi had been married for over three decades before she took her own life at age 76 in April.

As RadarOnline.com first reported, Naomi, named her surviving spouse as the executor of her estate. The document says, “In the event my spouse ceases or fails to serve, then I nominate and appoint my brother-in-law, Reginald Strickland, and Daniel Kris Wiatr as Co-Executors. I direct that no bond shall be required of my Executor.”

At the time, Radar said a source told them that Wynonna was "upset" with her mother's decision not to include her and her sister Ashley into her will. On Thursday, another source told the Daily Mail that Wynonna is offended by her mother's decision.

On Thursday, a source told the Daily Mail, “With Wynonna, her mother leaving all of her wealth to Larry sticks in her craw.” The insider added, “Her feeling is Naomi built her fortune at least partially on the back of Wynonna’s own hard work.”

“She was the one who was the lead singer of The Judds dating back to the 1980s and took Naomi from working as a nurse to being a star,” the source contined, claiming that “it was Wynonna’s amazing voice that pushed them over the top.”

Although Wynonna seems unhappy with the will Naomi created in 2017, it seems that Ashley, who was not a member of the country duo, is fine with Naomi naming her spouse as sole executor of her will.

“Ashley Judd has no problem with her late mother Naomi leaving her entire $25 million fortune to her second husband Larry Strickland,” the source told the Daily Mail. “With Ashley it’s never really been about the money.”

Family Attorneys Weigh In On Naomi Judd's Will

On Tuesday, Page Six spoke to attorney Holly Davis, who has experience with several high-profile family law cases. Davis told the outlet that it’s not uncommon for people to name their spouses as the executor of their estate. However, Davis did admit that Naomi’s omission of her two daughters from the legal document “may seem like a slight.”

“It is common to name the spouse as the executor of a will,” Davis said. “But leaving out her daughters seems pointed, like a purposeful act on Naomi’s part.”

The Texas-based attorney went on to say, “If the daughters believe that Naomi was unduly influenced in her final months or years by her spouse, such that they claim he influenced the outcome of her will in a fraudulent way, that could result in a claim on behalf of the daughters.”

That being said, Davis also admitted that it’s “possible” that Naomi had “already taken care of them in their own trusts, or perhaps prior gifts before passing away.”

That same day, RadarOnline.com also reported that Wynonna planned to contest her mother's will. Radar claims a source told them that Wynonna is accusing Ashley and Larry of having “conspired against her” in regards to the distribution of her mother's assets.

Radar also claims that a source close to Ashley told them that Naomi “knew what she was doing” by naming Larry as the sole executor of her estate.

However, it seems that all three family members are working together to prevent the release of "graphic" photographs and documents related to Naomi's death. Those interested can read more about that here.
