In her Instagram Stories, "The Kardashians" star, 43, dropped a link to the Poosh website to learn about the "Top 10 Anti-Aging Foods."

As Kourtney wrote, "Aging is inevitable, but it is also a privilege." She admitted that although we can't stop aging, "we're just over here trying to do all we can to age gracefully and in good health." That's why they decided to put together a list "with these antioxidant-rich, collagen-boosting foods to support healthy aging from the inside out."

One of the first foods that she suggested was avocado, which has been long been reported to help reduce inflammation, which can be a major factor in aging.

Neeyaz Zolfaghari, founder of Unspoken Nutrition, said, “As we age, we begin to lose concentration of collagen, elastic fibers, and fat underneath our tissues. This usually results in the loss of skin elasticity, the ability to be stretched and bounce back to its original shape.”

Another food that Kourtney recommends is sprouts, which they say "have a wide variety of nutrients and bioactive compounds and have been found to play an important role in warding off chronic diseases like diabetes and cancer."

Isn't Everyone Drinking Matcha These Days?

Another nutritional staple she recommends is matcha, which is full of polyphenols from the tea leaves.

Wellness expert Stefani Beckerman said, “Matcha is the only tea where you can ingest the leaf. Most teas are steeped and then thrown away. This is why you get so many benefits from matcha like detoxification, sustained energy and focus, and antioxidants galore.”

Doctors have long advised that people should add more "colorful" fruits and vegetables to their plate, which is why another recommended food is red bell peppers. Kourtney wrote on her website that red bell peppers contained 153 milligrams of vitamin C per serving and explained that vitamin C helps make collagen, which helps the skin become stronger and more elastic.

Growing up, a lot of followers probably had parents admonishing them to eat their broccoli. Certified nutritionist Serena Poon told Poosh that broccoli “contain[s] powerful antioxidants, fiber, and incredible substances that can help your body prevent disease” and even contains sulfur. Berries have long been reported to have antioxidant benefits, and clinical nutritionist Cara Clark agrees. She told Poosh that the polyphenols in blueberries and other berries can help fight stress and free radicals, as well as improve skin's elasticity with a big dose of vitamin C.

"You know how someone tells you that stress caused gray hairs?" Clark asked. "They weren't lying."

Another vegetable that you should add to your garden this summer? Tomatoes. Holistic nutritionist and wellness chef, Shauna Faulisi, told Poosh, “Eating tomatoes is one of my favorite ways to care for my skin. Lycopene, a plant nutrient responsible for giving the red and pink pigment to foods such as tomatoes and watermelon, has been shown to suppress oxidative stress.”

“Not only that, but it helps to prevent UVA and UVB damage caused from sun exposure," Faulisi added. "There’s a reason why these foods are plentiful in the sunny summer months! Nature is always supporting us.”

Another recommended anti-aging food is sweet potatoes, which are "rich in carotenoids and beta carotene, which are turned into vitamin A by the liver." Vitamin A also helps bodies regenerate tissue, and that includes skin!

Rounding out the list are beets and beans. Beets contain nitric oxide, which reportedly helps improve blood flow and oxygen throughout the body.

Although beans aren't frequently seen on a lot of healthy food lists, Jessie Inchauspé, founder of @glucosegoddess, told Poosh that beans are a great food to eat because they contain a lot of protein and fiber, which helps prevent blood sugar spikes.

"The more we spike, the faster we age. Crazy, but true," Inchauspé said. "Every glucose spike accelerates a process called glycation in the body—which ages us internally and externally. When glycation attacks our collagen, we develop wrinkles.”

Now that fans know how to eat, they can focus on developing their abs and their lean arms!
