The impact of the collision pushed the Subaru to hit two unoccupied vehicles parked on the road before sending the SUV to the sidewalk where he struck two men.

The late victims, both friends, have been identified as 31-year-old Joel Adames and 40-year-old David Fernandez. Five other people sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital.

Adames — to whom Cardi B is related — was taken to the Allen Pavilion Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The food delivery driver was well beloved and had just gotten a haircut from his friend Fernandez before the tragic incident.

Adames was well-loved in his community and was looking forward to celebrating his daughter’s second birthday. On the other hand, Fernandez was known for his love of dancing and earned the nickname "David La Salsa."

To put her team at ease, Cardi promised to get a nanny to help out. "I kept telling them, ‘It’s easy. Trust me, I’m going to have a nanny and she’s going to travel up and down with me. It’s not even going to be a hassle," she recalled.

However, everything changed when Kulture arrived. The New York native went back on her promise and decided to raise her daughter in the old-fashion way, without the help of a nanny.

Explaining why she made such a drastic decision, the "Love & Hip Hop New York" alum said, "When the baby got here, I couldn’t even think about getting a nanny because I was afraid of anybody being around her besides my family. I’ve never had a nanny for Kulture."

Cardi, however, didn’t downplay the role of her sister Hennessy who has served as a big help with her little ones. However, the rapper worked hard not to put so much burden on her family member.

She noted, "Your parents have already lived their life and raised their kids. They are older and don’t have the same energy as someone in their 20s. I’m never far from my kids because that’s my responsibility as a mother."
