Despite their respective wins, all people could talk about regarding the SAG Awards was Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston reuniting backstage and the pictures that launched a thousand fanfics. Twitter lost its damn mind over the friendly exes, sending everyone back to 2005 in a big way.
"THIS BRAD AND JEN REUNION IS TOO MUCH TO HANDLE FOR A MONDAY. #SAGAwards"
"B*TCH I KNOW HE DOESNT DESERVE HER BUT BRAD AND JEN #SAGAwards"
"a traumatized nation comes together to endorse brad and jen making love again"
"Me: Brad left Jen in the most horrible and humiliating way and it was easily the most memorably tragic celebrity break-up of my youth. She deserves better.
Also Me: AHHHHHHH HOLY F*CK!!!!"

Pitt was seen in awe of Aniston as she gave her acceptance speech, and she later on weighed in on the "oh, wow" that rocked the nation. She told ExtraTV:
"We've all grown up together, we really have. It just feels like a really fun night to celebrate and cheer each other on and keep working. It is an incredible honor to be recognized by this room especially. They are my peers and I've been doing this a while… It is not lost on me. There are not dark hours, but, you know, you don't really have that much of a life, so it's nice to come out and put a pretty dress on and sort of celebrate your friends and their work, and inspire each other to keep going — and like [Brad] said, it's back to work tomorrow."
The pictures were all over Instagram too, and celebrities and fans alike were fawning over the instantly iconic photos. One person who seemed to be relishing the drama was Courtney Cox, Aniston's best friend and Friends costar.
While Cox wasn't at the awards show, she was at home liking tons of pictures on Instagram, clearly having a grand time seeing the meltdown online. Even though Aniston and Pitt split in a very public way in 2005, Cox has maintained friendships with them both (but especially Aniston).
Cox and Aniston (and their _Friends costar and real life friend Lisa Kudrow) are all over each other's social media and have both spoken about their longstanding friendship in the past. Cox told TV Week a while back:
"We just have fun, we laugh, we're inseparable and it's great. It's funny, a lot of really close friends are kind of going through this right now or like Jennifer, [who] has gone through it. I don't know what's going on in the planets or what, but things are being shaken up and I don't know what's going to happen, but, yeah, Jennifer has been amazing for sure."
Aniston echoed the sentiment back in 2014, saying:
"There's absolutely no judgment in Court. You'll never feel scolded. She's extremely fair, ridiculously loyal and fiercely loving. I've slept in her guest bedroom a lot. Without giving away too much of my private stuff, all I can say is she's been there for me through thick and thin."
No matter what Aniston's relationship status is, Cox has got her back.
