Wendy Williams’ rep is debunking her past claims about her alleged secret marriage to a police officer in the New York Police Department.
Based on Page Six‘s recent report, she may not be tangled with the said cop but could actually be in a relationship with another unknown individual in the police department.
Wendy Williams Is In A New Relationship, Is It With A Police Officer?
Williams once told the founder of Hollywood Unlocked, Jason Lee, that she secretly wedded an NYPD officer named Henry; however, her spokesperson claimed otherwise, saying she opened up too soon.
William Selby, her rep, said to the channel about the alleged marriage, “That’s inaccurate. She is excited about a new relationship and probably got carried away in conversation.”
Speaking of her new relationship, Selby did not reveal much other than stating that she was indeed dating a cop, but his boss did not wish to share details at that moment.
As for Williams’ revelation to podcast host Lee, Lee recalled their phone convo when she told him she had some shocking news, adding that she was flying to L.A. later that week.
The former daytime talk show host told him that she was married, which was surprising to Lee, leading him to ask when she got married; she replied saying the previous week.
It is worth knowing that Williams may have quite a taste for police officers, as a past report claimed that she once had a romantic affair with an ex-cop and criminal justice professional, Dr. Darrin Porcher.
Porcher, however, denied those allegations saying, “It’s flattering to hear, but it’s not the case. I’m in a relationship. I just worked security for her for a couple of weeks after she filed for divorce [from Kevin Hunter].”
He added that the veteran broadcaster told him about her instructions to her publicist to keep her whole family away from her except her son for a year minimum.
She also opened up about her financial situation to the former cop, saying that her American Express credit card was not working as her finances were under Wells Fargo’s charge.
You may recall that the financial institution took control of Williams’ funds after her former financial manager Lori Schiller recommended a court-appointed guardian due to her allegedly being of “unsound mind.”
Her former attorney released a statement around the same time saying that she was not in agreement with Schiller’s recommendation as she did not want a financial guardian to tell her what to do with her money.
The media personality’s case against Fargo is still in progress; however, a rep for the bank once denied claims of “improper actions with respect to Ms. Williams’ accounts.”
While the case is still ongoing, Williams has other things to occupy her mind, including her search for true love, even if she has to go through multiple men.
The Blast shared that she had a candid talk with Hollywood Life while promoting her new podcast “The Wendy Experience,” opening up about her plans for her love life.
Despite being single for a while following her divorce, she looked forward to being in a relationship again and could not wait to fall in love.
However, she is not so keen on dabbling in marriage ever again as she declared, “I will never get married again,” adding that she might have to go through 40 or 50 men before finding her perfect man.
“The Wendy Williams Experience” Star Returns To Entertainment With New Podcast
Williams may have had it a bit rough since she exited her daytime show “The Wendy Williams Show,” but she is definitely back with more gusto, just like she never left.
As The Blast reported, she recently introduced her newest project, “The Wendy Experience” podcast, promising to give fans the fullest experience.
Leaving her past talk show was certainly a bummer to fans and was linked to her having severe health concerns, causing her absence from her hosting duties for months, including the final episode of her show.
Fortunately, the 58-year-old broadcaster did not let that stop her as she returned to the spotlight in no time but revealed that she was done with the television industry and would instead focus on podcasting.
Without revealing many details about her podcast, she said, “I’ve got enough money to do something else. When you’re famous, podcasts will make more money for me, being famous, than doing the Wendy Williams Show.”
