'RHOBH' Alum Taylor Armstrong Sets New Record By Joining The 'RHOC' Cast

Taylor Armstrong wants a bigger piece of that reality TV cake!

The American socialite, who rose to fame after showcasing her rollercoaster life on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," made history with her latest career move.

After amassing a considerable number of followers through her appearances on the hit series for three seasons, PEOPLE announced that the 51-year-old Kansas native would be starring in a new Bravo franchise, "The Real Housewives of Orange County."

Armstrong's reality TV blood must have been reignited after the blonde beauty returned to the small screen in June for Peacock's "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Ex-Wives Club."

Now, the 51-year-old shall officially come back as a cast member of the Housewife series by dropping her "RHOBH" hat for a spot on the 17th season of "RHOC."

Once the upcoming season debuts, the socialite would become the first Housewife ever to change franchises since the reality TV show launched in 2006.

This jump was a big deal as the shows revolved around the cast members living in different cities, meaning that Armstrong moved her entire life from Beverly Hills to Orange County.

Fans first met the blonde in 2010, following her participation on "RHOBH" as one of the franchise's original Housewives from the first season's premiere until her fateful departure in 2013.

After exiting her full-time appearance on Bravo's reality TV series, the Kansas native kept her image alive with numerous screen-time as a guest on subsequent seasons.

However, the "Couples Therapy'' star's departure from the spotlight may have been influenced by the strained relationship with her late husband, Russell Armstrong.

Before the second season of "RHOBH," the media personality filed for divorce from the deceased, citing "physical and verbal abuse" as the reason for separation.

A month after the former couple's split made headlines, the dark plot thickened as Russell committed suicide on August 15, 2011, leaving behind his ex-wife and Kennedy, their daughter.

Instead of dwelling on the negative side of this story, the TV personality chose to use her past as a motivational tool and has become an avid advocate for domestic abuse victims.

Armstrong eventually fell in love with an attorney named John Bluhe, and the adorable pair tied the knot in 2014. This marriage also gave Kennedy and her mom a new home in Orange County.

For her upcoming "RHOC" appearance, the 51-year-old would join Tamra Judge, her co-star on "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Ex-Wives Club" and one of Bravo's well-known faces.

According to the news outlet, the "Two Ts in a Pod" host's return to the new season of Orange County came a year after Heather Dubrow's appearance in Season 16.

Judge and the brunette previously starred in the Bravo series together from seasons 7 to 11. The pair would also be rejoined by some of the show's all-time favorites, including Shannon Storms Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, and Emily Simpson.

Unfortunately, the franchise's newest stars' Dr. Jennifer Armstrong and Noella Bergener, both announced they would not be returning to the series after their first-time experience on season 16.

A release date for the upcoming season 17 has not been disclosed, but the production of "RHOC" would reportedly begin later this summer.

As previously shared by The Blast, Armstrong got the internet's wrath in 2020 at the height of the Black Lives Matter Movement after making unsolicited comments about the racial injustice protests.

Millions across the world took to the streets to advocate for the fair treatment of people, especially the Black community, after the tragic death of George Floyd at the hands of a police officer.

While most people tried to get the government to take action against the cop at fault, the reality TV star wanted former President Donald Trump to stop the damages caused to small businesses by looters.

Following her statement, the 51-year-old was accused by numerous fans of flaunting her "white privilege" and being insensitive to the struggles of the Black community.

On the other hand, Armstrong explained that she also wanted justice for Floyd, noting that her problem was with the destruction of small businesses and not the Black Lives Matter protests.
