Halsey has checked to headline the Fuji Rock Festival off her to-do list!
The singer — real name, Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, expressed how hitting this milestone made her feel to millions of fans on Sunday.
This update comes almost two months after she canceled her event in Maryland, US, due to a storm.
Dreams Come True For Non-Binary Singer Hasley
Summer 2022 seems to be Hasley’s time to shine as the “Without Me” singer uploaded several snaps to her Instagram following her headline act at the Fuji Rock Festival.
While some images showed the certified Double Platinum artist performing on stage, others were close-up views of her face and outfit. One photo also revealed thousands of people reacting to her performance.
Halsey shimmered in her neon green hair, brightly colored eye makeup, black top, white bottoms, and sturdy knee-length boots.
The singer, who goes by they/them, she/her, ensured she tagged the photographers — Jasmine Safaeian and Donslens, celebrity hairstylist — Anthony Perez, and her brand — about-face beauty.
Although fans loved seeing the various images, the caption melted their hearts. Halsey wrote:
“”The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long – and you have burned so very, very brightly.” I headlined @fujirock_jp !! my dream came true finally. I can’t believe it!!!!!”
Amongst the thousands of comments fans dropped, the one from John Cunningham stood out as he claimed, “telling my kids that u are babymetal” — the Japanese kawaii metal band.

A handful of others complimented the singer on her eye makeup and hair, and one person gushed that Halsey was “iconic.”
Another fan wrote, “petition for you to wear this look the next time you’re in Boston,” and a third said, “hope you made a concert film out of this!”
Fans have been gearing up for this moment since NME disclosed that the Japanese festival outfit had unveiled the first phase of its 2022 lineup in April. The headliner lineup included Jack White, Halsey, Foals, Bonobo, Fontaines D.C., and many more.
These stars’ announcement marked the return of international artists to the Fuji Rock Festival after a 2021 edition with an all-Japanese lineup.
Since the festival got canceled in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic, it streamed unique sets from past years of Fuji Rock online instead.
Other international acts on the 2022 lineup included Dinosaur Jr, Syd, Tom Misch, Mura Masa, Hiatus Kaiyote, Arlo Parks, Snail Mail, Black Pumas, Superorganism, Japanese Breakfast, and more.
For its Japanese artists, the lineup list included Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Kikagaku Moyo, PUNPEE, and Sherbets. The yearly festival, which began in 1997, returned to Naeba Ski Resort, Niigata Prefecture, from July 29 to 31, 2022.
Flooded Maryland Venue Prevented The “Him & I” Singer From Performing

In June, The Blast reported that Halsey’s canceled concert at the Merriweather Post Pavilion prompted her to issue a statement to fans. The “You Should Be Sad” singer expressed disappointment over the events of the cancellation in a series of tweets.
She first apologized to Maryland concertgoers and stated that fans who missed an in-depth update on the issue via an Instagram Live post would get it on Twitter.
The “Halsey: If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power” star claimed to be “heartbroken and panicked” as she was more concerned about everyone at the venue returning home safely after a storm flooded the venue.
Her statement did nothing to appease her fans, who immediately attacked her for not apologizing in person. In response to the accusations, the GLAAD Media Award winner wrote:
“I promise I wanted to more than anything. But I couldn’t because it would have been SO unsafe if I went out there and people rushed the stage during or after the storm.”
Halsey added that even though “a lot of things” were out of her control that night, she chose her fans saggy over “everything I COULD choose.”
In a third tweet, the “Could Have Been Me” artist disclosed how “disappointed” she was that the venue owners could not handle the situation better. Halsey then informed fans that her “rescheduled date will be happening somewhere else.”
Her fans seemed satisfied with the tweet and refocused their attention on getting a new date for the canceled gig.
