Breaking up is hard to do. Especially when you have millions of fans and a million dollar brand. Earlier this week makeup Tycoon Jeffree Star announced through a nicely crafted video with his dogs dazed and confused in the background that he and long-time boyfriend Nathan Schaub finally closed the door on their thrilling relationship. Visually shaken Jeffree definitely looked like his life was turned on its head but somehow also not too surprised that they did end. By making this obligatory video because every YouTuber stereotypically does after they go through such a thing, he let people in on why they were not meshing anymore.
With every relationship after that hot and steamy sexually driven period, there is a drought. Things can become lackluster and quite frankly boring. When Jeffree said they were not in love anymore it is possible this could be one of the reasons, but others with their private investigator hats on decided to dig. It was found that Nathan allegedly deleted his Instagram earlier this month because he was sending naked pictures of himself to women. If this is true then maybe that was one of the reasons they dropped the veil and wanted to find other partners.
It has also been alleged since the start of their union that Nathan was using Jeffree. It isn’t hard to be speculative when you look at Star and all his success. The fact that Star is incredibly wealthy and can enjoy luxurious things along with the fame could have swayed Nathan to stay and commit to him. When Star publicly made the choice to address these comments on their relationship he made people even more confused. He came out and said Nathan met him before he had money, so that to him would negate any manipulative tendencies Nathan was accused of having. But, that isn’t necessarily the truth.
When Nathan met Jeffree he was a known underground celebrity with a music career and a cult like fanbase. So, it is still a possibility that Nathan saw the come up and jumped on the train. Another thing Star said in that old video that had heads spinning was the fact that Nathan was indeed straight. That he had never been with a man before and how Jeffree was his first gay relationship. Fans couldn’t really understand this concept of a straight man suddenly changing up and dating another man. Could Nathan had started out bi curious and eventually fell in love with Star? It is not for certain, and at the end of the day the only ones who know what goes on in the depths of a relationship are those two people so it is best to just accept what you see.
