Comedian Seth Meyers is the latest late-night host to come down with COVID-19.
On Wednesday, the host of “Late Night With Seth Meyers” revealed that he was going to have to cancel his NBC Late Night show for the rest of the week due to a positive diagnosis.

After negative tests Monday and Tuesday I tested positive for COVID this morning. Canceling shows the rest of this week. Apologies to our scheduled guests and loyal viewers!

On Wednesday, Meyers tweeted, “After negative tests Monday and Tuesday I tested positive for Covid this morning. Canceling shows the rest of this week. Apologies to our scheduled guests and loyal viewers.”
As reported by Deadline, Meyers had previously tested positive for the virus back in January. However, he is far from alone. In May, Stephen Colbert had to postpone episodes of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” after he tested positive for the virus. That same month, Jimmy Kimmel also tested positive and brought on a series of guest hosts to cover ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
Guests for this week included “Only Murders In The Building” star Nathan Lane and musical guest Maren Morris for Wednesday’s show. Adam Pally, star of truTV’s “101 Places to Party Before You Die” was scheduled to appear on Thursday. Issa Rae and comedian Nikki Glasser had been scheduled to appear on Friday.
Although Seth Meyers is out with COVID-19, fortunately, President Joe Biden looks to have made a speedy recovery and is no longer isolated after testing negative for COVID-19 on Wednesday.

On Wednesday morning, President Joe Biden tweeted, “Back to the Oval. Thanks to Doc for the good care, and to all of you for your support.”
As Deadline reported, Biden had tested negative for COVID-19 both on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, according to his White House physician.
Biden plans to make a statement in the Rose Garden later this morning.
In a memo released by his personal physician, Kevin O’Connor, Biden “remains fever free and he has discontinued use of any acetaminophen (TYLENOL) for the past 36 hours. His symptoms have been steadily improving, and are almost completely resolved.”
O’Connor added that “given these reassuring factors, the president will discontinue his strict isolation measures.”
However, he did note that Biden will continue to wear a mask for ten days while he is around others and “increase his testing cadence,” as a small percentage of those treated with Paxlovid see a rebound of the virus.
Paxlovid, also produced by Pfizer, has been proven to reduce hospitalizations and deaths among patients by around ninety percent when introduced within five days of the onset of symptoms.

On Thursday, July 21, almost one week ago, the world learned that President Joe Biden had come down with COVID-19.
MSNBC political analyst Geoff Bennett provided a screenshot from the Physician to the President confirming Biden’s diagnosis.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Biden, age 79, was fully vaccinated and boosted. They say that he had received two doses of the Pfizer vaccine shortly before taking office, a first booster shot in September and an additional dose on March 30.
Many are glad to see that the President had made a quick and speedy recovery. Now many fans of Seth Meyers are wishing him the same!
