Sharna Burgess Says She Was Scared To Look At Her Body After Childbirth

Burgess is a happy mama, but childbirth was not so easy for her based on the narrative she recently penned. The dancer revealed that she did not expect a C-section.

The Australian ballroom dancer further revealed, "Our little Zane was trying so hard to get out, but after 30+ hours of labor and my water breaking TWICE, I just wasn't dilating enough."

She continued, "In the moment, it was scary, s**t even on the table, it was scary. But Zane arrived healthy and happy, and that was always the priority."

Burgess admittedly had no idea about recovering from the C-section process as she initially expected a vaginal delivery but had the procedure instead.

She confessed "in total transparency" that she was scared to look at her body for the first time after delivery due to the multiple incisions and swellings on her frame.

Her body was "totally unrecognizable" after being through so much; however, she noted that it was all worth it as she grew a miracle within her.

The 37-year-old dancer then expressed, "Physically, mentally, and emotionally, postpartum is unlike anything else I've experienced. I am beyond grateful for companies like @fridamom and their insight into what we need because I had no idea."

She further detailed the brand's products that helped her, ranging from their spray bottle, ice packs, pads, support belt, scar patches, and underwear.

The underwear seemed to be a big deal to the star as she stated that one does not comprehend the item's importance until such a person is "postpartum."

Burgess has since been living in the undies due to their comfort and quality, as she said they were "better than any others out there."

She also told her fans that irrespective of how they delivered their child, be it "C-section or vaginally," postpartum recovery was no easy feat.

According to the dance icon, women were "incredible," and she urged them always to remember that whenever they cried when peeing for the first time or could not physically get themselves out of bed.

She then concluded the lengthy message by noting how "painful and emotional" the experience was yet still beautiful and "worth every single second."

Above Burgess' candid words, she posted a mirror selfie of herself semi-nude in nothing but a black bra top and blue-gray panties.

Her body had indeed transformed as her belly appeared rounder with a scar down its middle. She also tugged her panties a bit forward, revealing a glimpse of her lower abdomen.

As expected, thousands reacted to the post and were in awe of the beautiful performer as they flooded her with compliments for being strong enough for the procedure.

Several also appreciated her for sharing the helpful experience, with some narrating similar encounters and others recommending skincare solutions for her pregnancy scar.

Since giving birth, she has gone through significant changes in her body, which she had no qualms revealing, noting that her body had been "utterly unrecognizable" since delivery.

The June-born entertainer also pointed out that her kneecaps had been "MIA" until that moment, and she had lost so much water in her body through her vagina.
