According to their report, Britney, 40, met with Elton John, 75, at a private Beverly Hills recording studio last week to create a new take on his 1971 hit song, "Tiny Dancer." Sources told the outlet that their collaboration will be released by Universal Music next month, so apparently, fans don't have to wait too long to hear new Britney music!

“This was Elton’s idea, and Britney is a huge fan," one insider divulged. "They have recorded a remix of ‘Tiny Dancer’ as a full duet — and it is incredible." They added, “Britney was in the studio in Beverly Hills last week with Elton for the super-secret recording session overseen by uber-producer Andrew Watt.”

The studio is apparently in the basement of Watt's home. Watt has produced albums for talents like Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Pearl Jam, and even Ozzy Osbourne. Last year, Watt even won Producer of the Year at the 2021 Grammy Awards.

“They’ve already played it for people at their record label, and everybody is freaking out. It is so good,” the source teased. “They are saying this is going to be the song of the summer." The insider added, "Britney is officially back. She’s back to work, and she’s super excited.”

It seems Britney is definitely excited to be headed back into the studio because she recently dropped a remix of a fan-favorite song for her fans earlier this month!

Britney Shocks Fans With 'Baby One More Time (Britney's Version)'

On July 15, the "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer released a video showing her singing "Baby One More Time" in her natural voice... while doing her laundry. "This is me yesterday doing laundry and separating clothes," Brit admitted in the caption.

"I haven’t shared my voice in an extremely long time … maybe too long," she admitted, perhaps signaling to her fans that she was about to make a comeback. Britney said that she has asked for a remix of her hit song for 14 years but producers had always shot her down in the past. Fortunately, Britney Spears was freed of her stifling 13-year conservatorship last November and is free to make music now on her own terms.

"I share this because I am aware of my love and passion to sing … and my own family made a fool of me ? … I’m not going to be a victim !!!" she wrote in the caption. "HIT ME BABY ONE MORE TIME ???"

"Psss I’m sure you advanced musicians think it’s horrible or bad … well WHEN I’M BAD, I’M BETTER," she added.

“I love your natural voice but I love more seeing you comfortable showing it to the world,” one fan wrote.

“You need to record this version girl! We love hearing your voice!!!” another fan commented.

“Hit me with those vocals queen,” another fan gushed alongside a clapping emoji.

“THAT UNDENIABLE & UNIQUE VOICE OF A GENERATION MAMA!!!” another follower commented.

“As someone who I suppose would be considered an “advanced musician” (due to having a doctorate in music), I think this is f---ing brilliant. Your intonation is perfect. You low register is absolutely dreamy and silky,” another follow shared. “Your ability to switch to head voice and then chest voice is absolutely seamless. Students study for years to be able to switch like you do - like you have always been able to do! You’ve added nuance and uniqueness to something that is familiar (and your own!) that it is fresh and spectacular.”

They added, “My dear, this is pure genius and effortless, something that singers dream of accomplishing.”

In other words, Britney's still got it!
