Constance Wu Reveals What It Was REALLY Like Working With Chris Pratt

Actress Constance Wu is opening up on what it is really like to work with actor Chris Pratt.

The "Crazy Rich Asians" star returned to work shortly after giving birth, and so she found support in an unlikely place: from "Jurassic World" star and fellow parent Chris Pratt.

Constance Wu, a 40-year-old Golden Globe nominee, recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about returning to work after welcoming her first child, a baby girl, in 2020. Wu is starring in "The Terminal List" Amazon Prime Video action series opposite "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt.

"My first day on set was hard. I missed my baby," Wu recalled. "It was the hardest day to stay at work because it was so emotional, something so many moms go through on their first day back at work."

"Talk about someone who really understood what I was going through... Chris was so supportive and kind and caring on set," Wu told the outlet. "I'm really fortunate to have had him as my partner."

Pratt, 43, and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, recently welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Lyla Marie, "around the same time" that Wu gave birth. On May 21, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Elouise Christina. Pratt also has a 9-year-old son named Jack Pratt with his ex-wife, "Scary Movie" star Anna Faris.

In August 2020, PEOPLE reported that the "Fresh Off the Boat" alum had welcomed her first child with boyfriend Ryan Kattner, the frontman for the band Man Man. Wu had not previously disclosed that she was expecting, so news of her newborn came as a surprise to many fans.

In May, Wu appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," where she opened up about her baby girl. "I had a beautiful baby girl in August. She's the best, she's the best," she told host Jimmy Fallon. "She has a full head of hair. She has a blue butt."

She said that her daughter had a "Mongolian Spot," which is medically known as congenital melanocytosis. It's a flat, blue-ish birthmark that appears at birth or in the first few weeks after birth in some babies. "Apparently, it happens in a lot of Asian babies, and my boyfriend and I are both Asian," Wu explained.

She joked that Kattner "actually wrote a song about her blue butt. So, that will be on his next album."

The Amazon Prime Video action series, "The Terminal List" is based on Jack Carr's 2018 novel of the same name.

The series stars Chris Pratt as Navy SEALs Lieutenant Commander James Reece, who finds himself at the center of a dark conspiracy as he returns home after his platoon is ambushed on a covert mission. Wu plays seasoned war correspondent Katie Buranek. The series also stars Taylor Kitsch, Riley Keough, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Jai Courtney.

Season 1 of "The Terminal List" is currently available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
