Hollywood star Lupita Nyong'o just revealed that she isn't skittish around insects. The "Black Panther" star is gearing up to reprise her role in the upcoming Marvel movie "Black Panther 2" with Winston Duke, Martin Freeman, Danai Gurira, and the rest of the cast.

The 39-year-old has, on numerous occasions, shown her desire to go on adventurous trips. Nyong'o previously posted a picture of herself after her France trip for the Cannes Lions Festival and the ensuing wardrobe malfunction by the airline.

In a recent post, the "12 Years a Slave" Actress showed herself trying out a new meal with several sprinkled insects. This delicacy isn't strange to several cultures because they recognize insects as meals or snacks, just as many others do not.

The video's setting was a Los Angeles high society event the 39-year-old attended. Nyong'o's ant adventure occurred on the opening night of the dinner series that spanned three days.

The Audi-sponsored event featured different meals from Noma, a world-renowned restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmark. In a separate post, she wrote, "An event to celebrate sustainability, and the food and company was absolutely divine. What a wonderful evening!"

Fans' Reaction To The Post

While insects are a staple food in several regions of the world, including Nyong'o's place of birth, Mexico, and Kenya, where the actress is from, several other places are not used to the meals. The 39-year-old had several comments questioning her food choices and several others saying they had tried it previously.

Another fan questioned, "On purpose???" I would've definitely assumed the waiter dropped mine, and I would've asked for a new one…maybe I don't get out enough, but YOU at least look great."

On the other hand, a supportive follower asked about the meal's flavor. "Excellent! I've had ant eggs (escamoles) but not a grown ant. Were they nutty in flavor?" "Different varieties of ants have different flavors!" someone else remarked.
