Todd Chrisley Says Legal Issues Strengthened His Marriage
While many fans believed that the legal issue would take a toll on their marriage, the star confirmed that it was quite the opposite for them. He loves his wife even more and is now very intentional about their marriage.
When asked about the union, he explained (Via UsWeekly) that he chose to remain with Julie simply because he didn't see himself with anyone else. He also insisted that the kids had nothing to do with their choice to remain together.
"I said, 'You can have glue that you're stuck together because [of] children or you're stuck together because it's routine or whatever.' I think that we are stuck together. I know from my perspective, that I'm stuck to her for life because I want to be — not because it's routine, not because it's habit and not because we have children."
49-year-old Todd on the topic noted that she and her husband were far from the perfect couple. They had their differences, but she wouldn't want to go through life or have "ups and downs with anybody else." The reality TV star continued from where she stopped, noting: "The downs that we had have really been at the hands of other people, outside interference that we've allowed to come into our lives."
The Legal Issue
The "Chrisley Knows Best" stars got married in 1996 and have been going strong since then. However, they got faced with a huge challenge in 2019 when they were indicted on 12 counts of bank and wire fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy. The duo denied all claims until May, when they were reportedly found guilty on all counts.
Julie and Todd, who got blessed with sons Grayson and Chase and daughter Savannah, are currently awaiting sentencing. It's slated for October 6th in Atlanta, Georgia, per a statement from the court (as reported by The Blast).
The couple will remain in their home until then, as they were earlier released on bail on some conditions. The conditions included rules, location monitoring, spending limits, and home detention.
The Chrisley's Are Struggling
About the situation, Chrisley told fans, "I'm still struggling folks, I'm still struggling with it." "[and] I'm trying to get to where I need to get to," he continued. He also noted that he wouldn't be able to get this far without the love of his life. He revealed that she was getting further in her "acceptance process" and is a "much better person."
"I look back on our life because we've had a fairly good life. We've had a lot of heartache and struggle, but we've had a lot of blessings," Todd told fans on the podcast.
"You know, I try to look back on those … I look back at life now and I just think so many people come to us and want help and they want advice and to know how to get through this. I don't know how we got through it, other than God."

The star, who shares daughter Lindsie, 32, and son Kyle, 30, with ex-wife Teresa Terry, noted on the episode of their podcast released on June 17th that "it has been a whirlwind" for them. Also, that a lot has been going on in their lives, but they trust in "God" to help them.
"Lot of moving parts, a lot of things going on in our lives and a lot of seeing God's movements right now."
He also added on the episode that they wanted fans to share in their sadness and join faith with them.
"We wanted to let everyone know that it's a very sad, heartbreaking time for our family right now. But we still hold steadfast in our faith and we trust that God will do what he does because God's a miracle worker — and that's what we're holding out for."
