While many fans believed that the legal issue would take a toll on their marriage, the star confirmed that it was quite the opposite for them. He loves his wife even more and is now very intentional about their marriage.

When asked about the union, he explained (Via UsWeekly) that he chose to remain with Julie simply because he didn't see himself with anyone else. He also insisted that the kids had nothing to do with their choice to remain together.

"I said, 'You can have glue that you're stuck together because [of] children or you're stuck together because it's routine or whatever.' I think that we are stuck together. I know from my perspective, that I'm stuck to her for life because I want to be — not because it's routine, not because it's habit and not because we have children."

49-year-old Todd on the topic noted that she and her husband were far from the perfect couple. They had their differences, but she wouldn't want to go through life or have "ups and downs with anybody else." The reality TV star continued from where she stopped, noting: "The downs that we had have really been at the hands of other people, outside interference that we've allowed to come into our lives."

The "Chrisley Knows Best" stars got married in 1996 and have been going strong since then. However, they got faced with a huge challenge in 2019 when they were indicted on 12 counts of bank and wire fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy. The duo denied all claims until May, when they were reportedly found guilty on all counts.

Julie and Todd, who got blessed with sons Grayson and Chase and daughter Savannah, are currently awaiting sentencing. It's slated for October 6th in Atlanta, Georgia, per a statement from the court (as reported by The Blast).

The couple will remain in their home until then, as they were earlier released on bail on some conditions. The conditions included rules, location monitoring, spending limits, and home detention.
