MSNBC political analyst Geoff Bennett provided a screenshot from the Physician to the President confirming Biden's diagnosis. The President, age 79, is fully vaccinated. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Biden received two doses of the Pfizer vaccine shortly before taking office, a first booster shot in September and an additional dose on March 30.
President Joe Biden Is Experiencing 'Mild Symptoms' Following COVID-19 Diagnosis
As THR noted, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that Biden was experiencing “mild symptoms.” Biden has reportedly begun taking the antiviral drug Paxlovid in an attempt to reduce the severity of the disease.
Paxlovid, also produced by Pfizer, has been proven to reduce hospitalizations and deaths among patients by around ninety percent when introduced within five days of the onset of symptoms.
The White House Press Secretary said that Biden “will isolate at the White House and will continue to carry out all of his duties fully during that time. He has been in contact with members of the White House staff by phone this morning, and will participate in his planned meetings at the White House this morning via phone and Zoom from the residence.”

One year ago to the day. I don’t think anyone getting an illness is funny…but I’m convinced God has a sense of humor when he corrects Man #BidenhasCovid https://t.co/mpKgljuiYR

Ok, so he was wrong. What he said was "mostly true" during the Delta wave, but the new variants are evading the vaccine (somewhat). The disease changed. Just like flu. Flu vaccines don't protect year over year either.

Some users took the time to advocate for mask mandates to be reintroduced to the public.

#BidenHasCovid because the vaccines suck. 4 (maybe 5?) shots, and he still got it. Leave us all alone. Drop the vaccine mandates and go away. #COVID19

Despise @JoeBiden all you want. We need him to pull through as his replacement would be @KamalaHarris . If you think things are bad now, they could be unbelievably worse.
