Miley Cyrus is heading into the new year with a fresh look, and is looking to explore the ultimate duality in nature -- business up front and party in the back. The "Don't Call Me an Angel" star debuted her new hairstyle Monday afternoon via Instagram, and shared off multiple snaps of her latest style.
"New Hair. New Year . NEW MUSIC! ?" Cyrus captioned her photos to fans.
In the pics, the 27-year-old star is sitting on and around a wooden bench, and seen leaning up against an aged stone wall and serving up a serious mood.

Not only were Miley's fans loving her new look, but her famous family was also praising her in the comments for switching things up.
"Yooo cool mullet kid," Miley's older brother, Trace Cyrus, commented. He too has rocked some interesting cuts over the years.
The star responded to her brother, writing, "Learned from the best! My big bro!"
Her sister Brandi Cyrus also showed some love, and fans agreed that the hairstyle definitely worked for Miley.
"Wishing you all the best for this new year looking forward to your new music," one fan commented, noticing Miley also dropped a subtle hint about releasing new music.
Many fans were in agreeance that Miley's new look was very reminiscent of her father's famous locks.
"Billy Ray Cyrus is that you?" one person tweeted.
58-year-old Billy Ray rocked a trademark country music mullet back in the 90s when he released his 1992 hit, "Achy Breaky Heart." Unfortunately, he dropped the mullet look in later years for a shaggier hairstyle, but has joked in later years about bringing it back. It's unclear if Miley got the mullet as a tribute to her father, but it definitely works for her!

It was a long year in the press for Miley Cyrus, as she went through her very public divorce with Liam Hemsworth, her relationship with Kaitlynn Carter and now a new relationship with Cody Simpson.
While Miley and Cody are still going strong, she was able to wrap up the financial details of her split with Liam, which was helped along by the couple's iron-clad prenuptial agreement. Of the most important details of the prenup, neither Liam or Miley will pay each other any support. We're told the rest of the negotiations have been "amicable."
