Vanna White has had a hectic 2019. She was asked to cover Pat Sajak's position as host of the hit game show 'Wheel of Fortune.' Typically, White is the model who reveals the correct letters that contestants guess correctly on the board. Now that Sajak has returned to the show in good health, White was able to take a much-deserved vacation PopCulture reported. She brought long-term boyfriend John Donaldson as well as her daughter Giovana at 23 years old and son Nicholas at 25 years old.

"Happy New Year from our family to yours #2020," White captioned a picture of her family posing with leis.

"Happy New Year to you and your family! Much Aloha to you, too!" one fan wrote.

"Happpppy new year! I love the show. You did an amazing job!" another added.

"Happy new year to you and your family.... I watch wheel every evening ???????," a third dedicated fan added.

"Same to you Vanna you have done a great job filling in for Pat keep up the good work," another fan wrote.

Vanna White filled in for Pat Sajak when he suddenly had to undergo emergency surgery.

"Suddenly, I wasn't thinking about the pain," Sajak said of the surgery. "I just had these beautiful pastels and lovely faces coming out of it. In the background, I could hear my wife and daughter talking. It sounded like they were a mile off, but they were right next to me," he said. "They were talking to each other. And I remember thinking, not in a morbid way, 'I think this must be death. This must be what death is like.'" He then realized he was actually high on the pain medication.

Vanna White was more than willing to step up to the plate with help from Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck.

"It was good," White told Us Weekly of her time hosting. "It was different. It was fun. But I’m glad he’s back. … I learned that I was very uncomfortable doing it and agreeing to do it because it was just so out of my comfort zone, but I learned that I could step up to the plate if I had to."

"I have never even thought of hosting the show," White continued. "Never crossed my mind. But obviously, I stepped in, took one for the team to fill in for him because I'm very familiar with the show after all these years. And our executive producer thought I was the perfect person to do that in his absence."
