How Liam Hemsworth's Current Girlfriend Compares to Miley Cyrus, According to his Family

Although their relationship hasn't been over for all that long, both Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus have taken steps toward moving on. Since they split in August, Cyrus has been linked first to Kaitlynn Carter and then to Australian Cody Simpson.

Hemsworth has also been linked to multiple partners since his relationship with Cyrus ended. First, he was seen out and about with actress Maddison Brown. More recently, though, it seems he's been seeing Gabriella Brooks, and things are getting more serious.

Although Hemsworth has only been dating the Australian model for a short time, Brooks has already met Hemsworth's family, and they clearly have a good impression of her. Considering he was with Brown in October, it seems things are moving quite fast between Hemsworth and Brooks. Still, she seems to be popular.

According to an insider close to Hemsworth who spoke to Us Weekly, Hemsworth's "family approves of her and really likes her, which is very important to him," the source said.

The insider was also careful to say that Brooks was more than just another rebound from Cyrus. Unlike his relationship with Brown, the source says his relationship with Brooks is meant to last.

"Liam and Maddison weren’t that serious and were mainly having fun together," the source said. If Liam is already introducing Brooks to his parents, it's safe to say that he thinks this relationship is more than just a bit of fun. In fact, it could be quite serious.

Brooks received a much warmer welcome from the Hemsworth clan than Cyrus, who has become less than popular following the drama between the two of them. In fact, Hemsworth's sister-in-law made headlines for suggesting that he deserved much better than Cyrus.

"My brother-in-law, well… After a relationship that you’ve dedicated ten years to, he’s a little bit down, but he’s coping well, he’s a strong boy and he deserves the best, I think he deserves much better," Hemsworth's sister-in-law said in an interview.

It's safe to say that things weren't always totally stable between Liam and Miley. In fact, their relationship was so inconsistent that it was a shock to many when they decided to get married in 2018.

The two first got together in 2009, and they broke up multiple times between then and 2012 when they were engaged for the first time. The couple broke up in 2013 and took an extended break, but by 2016 they were back together. Their latest breakup seems permanent, though.
