Team Busy! Stars like Jennifer Garner, Catt Sadler, and "Queer Eye" star Jonathan Van Ness are launching their support for Busy Philipps after the star slammed E! for canceling her show abruptly. The 40-year-old talk show host revealed the upsetting news that her "Busy Tonight" contract would not be renewed on Tuesday, and viewers aren't the only people upset at the network. Busy's famous friends and her 11-year-old daughter, Birdie, are pissed too and they're expressing their disappointment on social media.
It all started when Busy Philipps posted a series of shots showing her emotions from the day she found out, which was April 5, 2019. She described getting a text from her manager to call her and when Busy did, she was told E! would not be renewing her contract for the show. Revealing she was "blindsided," Philipps told fans she [drank tequila](/c/casamigos-halloween-party-world-series-long-game_, cried, made drunken phone calls, emailed the head of E! and got a tattoo that reads "f--- em."
Posting snaps from the day, she's seen with mascara running down her face. Busy Philipps also included a handwritten note from her daughter, which has quickly gone viral. “You are the worst TV network. EVER," Birdie wrote then listed all the reasons why. "1. You got rid of my moms show 2. You mad [sic] alot of people lose there [sic] jobs. 3. You suck. Well anyways my mom does work much harder than you so you don’t diserve [sic] her. She will find another place,” Birdie wrote. “She will shove it up your ass. Sincrly [sic], Birdie.”
"Birdie for president!" Jennifer Garner responded to Busy Philipps' post. Catt Sadler, a former E! News host who walked away from the network after discovering a pay discrepancy between herself and Jason Kennedy, took a jab at E! in Busy's comments. "Birdie should meet my boys. They’d have a lot to talk about," she wrote, while Jonathan Van Ness responded with, "The letter is an A+ & I LOVE your tat ??." Haley Lu Richardson revealed she too has something in common Busy Philipps. "If it makes you feel better I got fired and re cast from an E show," the "Five Feet Apart" actress wrote while including several poop emojis. Other stars who commented with words of support include Kimberly Paisley, Kelly Oxford, and Kelly Ripa "liked" her post.
