Lil Kim has had a prolific career in the world of hip hop. Over the course of her long career in music, she's produced a number of huge hits, and proven herself to be the equal of all the men working in the genre.

Recently, the iconic rapper was asked to weigh in on who she believes is the current queen of rap. In addition to offering some choice thoughts on Nicki Minaj, she also weighed in on who's currently wearing the crown.

Nicki Minaj has had a pretty impressive 2010s, one that featured plenty of hits and additional iconic moments. While Minaj has plenty of fans of her own, Lil Kim is definitely not one of them.

The two of them have a feud that dates all the way back to 2007 when Minaj released photographs that were remarkably similar to an album cover Lil Kim had released. Many saw these similarities as an homage, but Lil Kim saw them more as identity theft.

As a result, Lil Kim was never likely to call Nicki Minaj the queen of rap. Since the feud began, the two of them have consistently taken shots at one another online and in interviews.

During a recent interview, a reporter asked Lil Kim about both Nicki and Cardi B. In the latest stage of their feud, Lil Kim claimed that she "didn't know" Nicki. Cardi B, on the other hand, Lil Kim had nothing but praise for during the interview.

The two rappers actually have quite a bit in common. Both Lil Kim and Cardi B are open about their love for plastic surgery, and about the work that they've had done over their time in the limelight.

Like Lil Kim, Cardi B also emerged from difficult circumstances to become one of the biggest stars in the world. Whatever the case may be, Lil Kim is certainly one of Cardi's biggest advocates, and the interview suggests that she thinks Cardi B is the best female rapper in the game today.

Lil Kim also said that, if there were going to be a remake of "Lady Marmalade," one of her most iconic songs, she would leave it "up to Cardi." Lil Kim also said that Cardi has "got the crown."

While there's no word about the two rappers collaborating yet, Cardi B is currently working on an all-female rap album. It seems very possible that Lil Kim could made an appearance there, but details about the album are still largely unknown.
