Sofia Richie Suns Her Buns On A Yacht In Striking Purple Bikini

It seems Sofia Richie is enjoying her time in the sun!

She and her fiancé, Elliot Grainge, spent the weekend on their yacht in St. Tropez. In the snaps, the 23-year-old model can be seen chilling out on the deck and getting some sun in a striking purple bikini!

As Page Six reported, the couple only dated for about one year before they got engaged in April. The two were photographed swimming around the boat, sunbathing on the boat deck, and even riding around on a jet ski in the water.

In the photos, the youngest daughter of Lionel Richie shows off her abs as she brushed her wet hair back out of her face. She's wearing a lavender-colored bikini top and matching bottoms that are tied at the waist.

In another shot, Sofia turns around, giving the camera a cheeky display as her long, wet hair trails down her back. Elliot showed off his shirtless chest in orange swim trunks, with a white towel draped around his shoulders.

The 28-year-old record executive has apparently known Sofia "for years," at least according to Entertainment Tonight, through Sofia's older brother, Miles Brockman Richie. Miles and Sophia are the children of dancer Diana Alexander and "All Night Long" singer Lionel Richie. The couple wed in 1995 but went their separate ways in 2004. Apparently, Miles and Elliot are close friends, and he and Sofia were friends before they decided to start dating.

Elliot also comes from famous blood: he's the son of Lucian Grainge, who is currently CEO and chairman of Universal Music Group.

Sofia had previously been linked to Scott Disick, with whom she shares a 16-year-age gap. The couple had dated for three years before they called it quits in 2020. Apparently, complications with his ex-wife Kourtney Kardashian contributed to the split.

The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star has since moved on with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, and the two got married in a star-studded wedding in Italy earlier this year.

A source revealed to Us Weekly that the Richie family is actually pretty happy that Scott and Sofia went their separate ways.

“Sofia’s family think she is way better off without him. They have been advising her to do her own thing, especially during the [coronavirus] quarantine,” a source told the outlet in September 2020.

The insider added, “She has been separating herself from the equation and it has been the healthy thing for her and her family. … Sofia is a family girl and knowing her sister and dad haven’t approved of him from the beginning has been a big thing for her.”

Sofia started modeling all the way back in 2012 when she started posing for Teen Vogue. Five years later, she made her runway debut in 2017, walking the runway for Chanel's pre-fall collection alongside Lily-Rose Depp, the daughter of "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor Johnny Depp.

Sofia has also been a cover for several international magazines, such as Cosmopolitan, Tatler, Wonderland, Brazilian and Singapore editions of L’Officiel, and many more.

In 2019, Richie decided to venture into fashion design with a collection of tie-dye bathing suits for Frankie's Bikinis. The collection included hoodies, triangle tops, and high-waisted bottoms in blue to pink hues.

A source revealed to Us Weekly that Richie and Grainge were “very happy” with their relationship and are eager to take the next step and tie the knot.

“They started out as friends before they became a couple, and are now getting serious,” the insider said in April 2021. “Their relationship took off and they have been getting closer and closer and spend practically every day together.”

A month after their engagement, Richie and Grainge celebrated their upcoming wedding with a floral-themed party that was attended by many famous friends and family members. Sofia's sister, Nicole Richie, was spotted in attendance. Her brother, Joel Madden, was also there as well.
