Actor Miles Teller just shared the surprising reason his wife, Keleigh Sperry, cried on the set of a Taylor Swift music video last year.
Before Miles was dazzling audiences in "Top Gun: Maverick," he had starred in Taylor's music video for "I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version)." Not only did he get to dance with the "Shake It Off" singer, but he also got an up-close look at Taylor in a wedding dress, which made some fans understandably emotional.
As it turns out, Teller's wife Keleigh is a major Swiftie and couldn't back her emotions on set.
Miles Teller Shares The Surprising Reason Wife Keleigh Sperry Cried On The Set Of A Taylor Swift Music Video
In a recent interview with E! News, Miles Teller revealed that Taylor Swift actually made his wife, Keleigh Sperry, cry on the set of her 2021 music video “I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor’s Version).”
The “War Dogs” actor explained that, while they were filming, Taylor played the 10-minute version of “All Too Well” for Keleigh for the first time and she got emotional while watching her husband and Taylor dance, especially while Taylor was wearing a stunning white wedding gown.
"When we were shooting the music video, Taylor played for Keleigh the ‘All Too Well (10 Minute Version)' for the first time," Miles recalled. "Keleigh was just looking at Taylor in her wedding dress and Taylor and I dancing while she was listening to ‘All Too Well,' the new one, and she was just bawling her eyes out."
At the eBay Vault Stars event in Los Angeles on July 15, Miles said that “I Bet You Think About Me” will always have a special place in his heart, considering of the role he played in the music video. That being said, he said that Keleigh plays Taylor’s music “all the time,” joking, “In my house, it’s a lot of Taylor.”
What Kind Of Music Does Miles Teller Listen To?
Although Miles is definitely a fan of Taylor’s music as well, he revealed it takes a specific type of tune to get him onto the dance floor.
"I feel like Bob Seger can get me on the floor as much as Michael Jackson," he said. "There's plenty of videos of me dancing to both of those guys."
Miles had previously opened up about the “thirst trap” videos that Keleigh shares on social media, including one of the shirtless guys chilling out on set for “Top Gun: Maverick.” One of his shirtless, should shimmy dances during the film’s beach football scene is going viral on social media.
"I thought it was cool because that's a dance move that me and my buddies have done. And, basically, what it's saying is don't take yourself too seriously," Miles recalled. "I love that—in all of the machismo and everything that's going on in that scene—the moment that popped was just a bit of goofiness. Of just having fun."
Although “Top Gun: Maverick” has become a major blockbuster and has grossed over a billion dollars in one 31 days, Miles Teller admitted that he almost wasn’t sure he wanted to appear in the movie at first.
"I actually was fairly uncertain whether I wanted to do it," he shared. "I look back at that now and I think that's very foolish, but at the time that is where I was at. I just didn't know if I wanted to be a part of this thing I knew was going to be massive because it changes your life."
However, it was star Tom Cruise that helped inject Miles with a need for speed. "I really just bet on Tom, because the first script that I got was really not in the best shape," he revealed. "I feel really lucky that he wanted to share that world with me."
Although he said that he’d also love to star in a remake of “Field of Dreams,” it’s possible that Miles might return for a third “Top Gun” movie. He revealed that he has had “conversations” with Cruise about the possibility of a third film. Fans can read more about that here.
