Travis Scott Opens Up About Relationship With Kylie Jenner and Their Daughter Stormi

Rapper Travis Scott has never been the one to open up to the media about his relationship with Kylie Jenner and their daughter, Stormi. While Jenner has consistently posted on social media, documenting every turn of her life, Scott has maintained the exact opposite MO. He's always kept things under wrap and close to the vest.

However, recently he was interviewed by XXL Magazine and gave his take on the current state of his relationship with Kylie Jenner, what controversial things happened to cause the breakup between the two, and what it's been like raising Stormi. His candid responses added clarity to an otherwise one-sided account.

As for a quick recap regarding Scott and Jenner's relationship, the two first met during Coachella in April of 2017. At the time, Scott was touring and specifically performing at the festival. Jenner was in attendance at Coachella to see him and ultimately, the two hit it off.

But the problem was that Scott had to continue on tour and couldn't stick around. For Jenner, though, she didn't think twice and quite literally jumped on his tour bus, telling him that she would be joining.

In an interview with GQ in 2018, Jenner shared the account. "Coachella was one of the stops on his tour,” Jenner revealed. “So [Travis] said, ‘I’m going back on tour—what do we want to do about this?’ Because we obviously liked each other."

For Jenner, it was a no brainer. "And I was like, ‘I guess I’m going with you,’” she continued. “I really jumped on [his tour] bus. And then we rode off into the sunset. I did the whole tour with him."

Fast forward to February 2018 to when the couple first welcomed their daughter, Stormi, to the world. It was a pivotal moment for the two, as it led to them purchasing a house together, considering marriage, and thinking about having another child. The honeymoon phase for the couple wouldn't last very long, though.

Only about a year later in October 2019, the two called it quits, leading to much speculation about what the impetus for the split was. Rumors swirled of infidelity on Scott's part, but nothing was ever confirmed. The two had apparently been going through a rough patch in their relationship and eventually decided to give it a break.

That break has turned into something more permanent, but still, the two are civil with each other and are focused on co-parenting to the best of their ability for their daughter Stormi's sake. Scott even just recently attended the Kardashian-Jenner Christmas party and was praised for being there for their daughter.

Scott has been consistently silent over all the drama that has unfolded between himself and Jenner but finally opened up in an interview with XXL for the Winter 2019 Issue of the magazine.

And while he didn't exactly bring up Jenner directly and discuss the reasons exactly why they broke up, it is obvious what he was insinuating during the interview.

Speaking on how he felt about Jenner, he shared that he will always love her, even if the two aren't together. "I love [Stormi's] mommy and I always will," the rapper said.

Scott also hinted as to the reasons why the two broke up in the first place, citing outside voices that ultimately played a role in their split. "The hard part about relationships is just trying to be in one without a million outside voices interfering," he said.

Regarding his daughter, Stormi, and what it's like raising her, he couldn't be happier. She has become his number one focus and best friend.

"I've been spending time with my family and my daughter, Stormi," the rapper shared. "Being a dad is better than I thought it would be. Stormi is one of the best human beings I know. She's like my best friend. She makes life a little bit easier. She just surprises me and she inspires me every day with how she's thinking," Scott explained.

It's unknown if Kylie and Travis will rekindle a romantic relationship together in the near future, but you can bet on the two working together to provide the best life for Stormi as she continues to grow up.
