Ricky Martin is in trouble right now. After recent allegations of sexual abuse and domestic violence came to light, the identity of his accuser has now been revealed. Initially, the claims were filed keeping the identity of the accuser under wraps, protected under Law 54.

Now Eric Martin, one of Ricky Martin's half-brothers has revealed that the accuser is none other than Ricky's nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sánchez, who is the son of Martin's paternal half-sister, Vanessa. If convicted, Martin could face up to 50 years in prison given that incest is considered a grave offense under Puerto Rican laws.

Here's what's happened so far.

Martin was initially accused of domestic violence and sexual abuse but now, according to his brother Eric Martin, the identity of his accuser has come to light, and it's his nephew, 21-year-old Dennis Yadiel Sánchez. This adds incest to the list of accusations as well and makes for a grave offense according to Puerto Rican laws.

Martin, meanwhile, has not said much, but initially, when the allegations came out, the "She Bangs" singer did give a short statement on Twitter:

Meanwhile, Martin is already in hot soup considering former talent manager, Rebecca Drucker, is suing him for failing to pay her upwards of $3 million in commissions. In the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Drucker also claimed to have stood by Martin through thick and thin, protecting him from the consequences of his reckless indiscretions.

Drucker also claims to have once saved Martin's career from a "devastating" scandal, stating he has substance abuse issues and fosters a "toxic" work environment. She protected Martin for years not only because she was his manager but also because she thought of him as "her dear friend."

Neither Martin nor Drucker have responded with further statements.

Martin meanwhile has just released new music, with an announcement that went on Twitter on July 13.

Ricky Martin has been married to artist Jwan Yosef since 2017 and the two also share four children.

Martin himself may not have made any comment about the allegations, but his lawyer, Marty Singer stated Deadline, saying, "Unfortunately, the person who made this claim is struggling with deep mental health challenges. Ricky Martin has, of course, never been — and would never be– involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew."

The Hollywood litigator also added, “The idea is not only untrue, but it is also disgusting." He then went on to commiserate with Sanchez, saying, "We all hope that this man gets the help he so urgently needs. But, most of all, we look forward to this awful case being dismissed as soon as a judge gets to look at the facts.”

The hearing for the case is set for July 21, although Ricky Martin has been served with the restraining order, forbidding him from any contact with his accuser.

Meanwhile Martin's brother, Eric Martin has also spoken up, claiming that Dennis Yadiel Sánchez has a history of mental illness.
