Miley Cyrus Officially Cuts Ties With Liam Hemsworth and Celebrates Christmas with Cody Simpson

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth officially reached terms for their divorce right around the holidays. Fortunately, Cyrus had someone to console her. Cyrus spent her Christmas with Cody Simpson despite rumors of the two of them breaking up or taking a break PopCulture reported.The two spent a cozy day in sipping hot beverages and enjoying each other.

Simpson posted a picture, seemingly taken by Cyrus, of himself on Instagram sipping out of a mug. "Christmas is a rotten hype & all we can do is ride it out. - Hunter S Thompson," the caption read.

Simpson also uploaded a video of he and Miley getting cuddly. "Sips tea," Simpson captioned the video.

Fans took to the comment sections to show their support for the relationship.

"Both are so cute together, u guys made me forget how I have to breathe, are so cute. SO F*CKING CUTE!!! ????," a Miley fan page commented

"Omg I'm so glad to see you guys together???? Merry Christmas?," another fan added.

"At first I didn't like y'all together but now y'all are so cute?," one fan admitted.

Cyrus only separated from Hemsworth very recently. After the couple initially broke up in _, the two got back together in __2019 and quickly married. Just as quickly as they got back together, the couple got divorced after Cyrus was spotted kissing Kaitlynn Carter.

"Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time," Cyrus' rep told Entertainment Tonight at the time. "Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers. "

They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy," Cyrus' rep continued.

Cyrus then started dating Simpson just two months after breaking up with Hemsworth and one month of dating Kaitlynn Carter. Despite Cyrus and Simpon's wild reputations and how recently Cyrus ended things with Hemsworth, the couple is doing well.

"It is early, but their friendship is long-standing and deeper than people realize," Simpson's manager Matt Zeidman recently told PEOPLE.

Though they originally met during their own wilder phases, they're both sober now and are focused on health, work and spending time together. Seems pretty ideal to me," the source continued.

The couple is in the works of collaborating and making music together. There are rumors that the two are creating a band named "Bandit and Bardot." Recently after Cyrus trademarked the name, an Instagram popped up that both Cyrus and Simpson are following. No details on the band are confirmed.
