They also noted the meaning behind Fredrick's name, sharing that it "holds special meaning for us since it's Derick's name with 'Fre' added to the front, to make 'Fre-derick.'"

"Similarly, Derick's name is a variation of his late dad's name, Rick, that his parents created by adding 'de' to the front of Rick to spell 'de'-‘rick,' literally meaning son 'of' (de) Rick," the family added. "We were excited to settle on the name Frederick and incorporate both Derick's and his dad's name by adding 'Fre' to the beginning of Derick's name."

Additionally, the couple explained in their blog that his first name means "peaceful ruler," while his middle name means "gift from God."

This big news comes nine months after the duo opened up about suffering a miscarriage. At the time, Jill shared a montage of videos from her pregnancy, including the test when she found out that she and her husband were expecting their third child.

"We recently found out we were expecting our third baby. We were thrilled!" Jill wrote on Instagram. "However, a few days later, we started miscarrying."

She later reflected on the joy they felt about expanding their family unit in a blog post. "It was fun to see so much joy in the boys' faces as we shared the news with them," she explained of her sons. "They were full of questions and so excited as we talked about the pregnancy and how they would get to be involved along the way and after the baby was born."

Although it was too early to know the sex of the baby at the time, they picked a name that encompassed the baby's significance: River Bliss Dillard.

"We love & miss you, River Bliss!" Jill concluded in her post.

Since their exit from "Counting On" in 2017, Jill has been open about distancing herself from her family.

"We're not on the best terms with some of my family," Jill admitted in October 2020, disclosing the decision to step back to focus on her own family had proved a challenge. "We've had some disagreements, but we're working towards healing and restoration."

They have also been more vocal than most members of the family in condemning her older brother Josh Drugger who was convicted on account of child pornography in 2021.
