Lizzo is known for flaunting her body positivity in the best way possible. She even brought some of it while twerking during the 'SNL' promo.
Lizzo will be the musical guest alongside host and former 'SNL' cast member Eddie Murphy. Murphy was basically deemed the foundation of 'SNL' during the 80's. Many believe that the show wouldn't still be running today without him. This Saturday will be Lizzo's first time on 'SNL' and according to the promo video, she couldn't be more excited.
The promo started with business as usual with Eddie Murphy introducing himself and Lizzo. “Hi, I’m Eddie Murphy and I’m hosting SNL this week with musical guest, Lizzo!” He exclaimed.
Lizzo responded, “Best night ever!”
And Kenan Thompson chimed in, “Thank you, Santa Claus!”
Despite the seemingly perfect first take, they decided to film a second take. This take was certainly spicier than the first.
Murphy repeated his initial line, “Hi, I’m Eddie Murphy and I’m hosting SNL this week with musical guest, Lizzo!”
Thompson had a slightly different yet equally excited response. "So excited to have you here, man," Thompson said in regards to Murphy. "When I heard I was like ‘Hell yea!'"
This time Lizzo had a lot more to say. She interjected, "And when I heard I was like…" along with an excited scream. She then began performing her signature twerk while chanting "Let's go!" and "sexual chocolate!"
Murphy was left bewildered with no other words to say but, “She is so excited.”
This isn't the first time that Lizzo has been in the media spotlight for her sensual dance moves. The "Good as Hell" singer found herself in hot water for her actions at a Laker game. When the Lakers cheerleaders were dancing to her hit song "Juice," Lizzo decided to join in on the fun. She went onto the court and twerked in a dress that revealed her backside in a thong.
Lizzo also recently had to cancel a couple of performances due to an illness.
However, the show must go on! Lizzo still plans on performing as musical guest tomorrow night for 'Saturday Night Live.'
“Lizzo is feeling much better but not completely out of the woods just yet,” a source shared with HollywoodLife. “She is intending to still perform this weekend but if she is still feeling uneasy on the night she is going to skip rehearsal or do one less performance so the performance she does do is to the best of her abilities.”
