This week, rumors of marital problems between Prince William and Kate Middleton came to light after two separate incidents that were highly exaggerated.
The couple, who were married in a massive wedding in 2011 and share three children together, have always appeared strong and loved up in their relationship, even without showing the same amount of PDA as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
But, everyone loves some good royal gossip, whether or not most of it is made up, and that was apparent this week.

Viewers fell in love with the royal couple and their banter when they appeared on A Berry Royal Christmas with Mary Berry, however one moment that was caught on video sent the rumor mill into overdrive.
In one scene, William was seen putting his hand on Kate's shoulder and her reaction was to quickly move away.
Suddenly, everyone freaked out, assuming the worst, and whispers of an argument or friction between the Duke and Duchess began immediately (despite the fact that they looked to be having a grand time during the rest of the episode.)

Just a short while after this aired, Prince William and Kate were seen arriving to the Queen's Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace in separate cars, and for some reason this set tongues wagging.
However, all of these things were clearly taken out of context, and it appears the gossip cops are getting bored while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been MIA.
According to sources from Entertainment Tonight, "The couple, unlike Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, do make a point to keep the PDA to a minimum in public events because they are the future king and queen."

The sources continued, “That’s a conscious effort by the couple to be respectful of their role … Kate’s mindful that she was being recorded by multiple cameras and just wanted to remain professional.”
This is not surprising, considering the fact that Prince William and Kate will one day be King and Queen Consort, and they have to be much more formal in public than other couples in the royal family.
Now, a bit of damage control is in order, and sources spoke to People about the couple's happy, old-fashioned marriage.

Friends of the couple told the publication, "Some people might say it's an old-fashioned marriage, but it seems to work."
They continued, "People make much of William giving the big speeches, but Kate is there too, asking questions of presidents and their wives. These things are easier when they are side-by-side."
Clearly, this is a couple who balance each other out, and are supportive of one another. We're looking forward to seeing the Cambridges on Christmas morning, walking to church with their brood.
